Got to say I've had one of these for two years plus and it absolutely the most useful electric tool I've ever bought and prob the most used. The go to tool when building furniture , repairing fences , installing trunking etc. Lasted 2 years plus with no discernible battery performance loss.

I can echo those comments.. I picked up mine along with Torque / Easy-Reach / Angle Gear attachments and it's helped me construct all sorts of things over the years and holds it's charge well

Not sure it's in the same league but IKEA do their own brand for £6.95 - saw it in store today

Just pointing out to those who may be considering a purchase. Better of with a sturdy set of screwdrivers amazon.co.uk/Sta…ers
Or a proper drill/driver.
Good for you, if you find it useful.

I've had this (or probably it's predecessor ) for donkey's years now . Excellent piece of kit . Holds a charge for ever and a day

You obviously haven't put together loads of flat pack furniture.....LOL

This little IXO driver is superb for this.......only minus is the crappy tin case it comes in.....but great price for this.

That is what makes this deal even better - It's the newer version. That doesn't come in a recycled Quality Street tin like ours

Argos and Homebase do a cheap one too. They were both below the £4 mark last week.

No torque control, without another add on, so no good as a screwdriver

Thanks for posting, just ordered one to collect on Monday. Heat added

with this tool and self drilling screws you can build decking, install floor boards, joists, stud walls and no end of other wood jobs. hand tools are hopeless and slow and big drills mean you can't get into small spaces easily. These are one of the most useful tools you can buy.

I have driven many many screws with this . And for those complaining about the shoddy case , I have tin box envy. Mine came in a cardboard box . Some people don't know their luck....

Have the black and decker version of this with the adjustable body. Goes on forever and they are very capable and useful tools

This! If you're looking for something to use more regularly, I'd recommend the Bosch PSR 7.2. Adjustable torque control with a clutch to prevent over tightening.

Guys this is not an impact driver or a hammer drill, so don't judge it as such, it's just a lightweight electric screwdriver - but it's lighter and smaller than even an impact driver, so it definitely has its uses!

Does it come with a bit extension? Some things I need to reach would require one. Thanks!

ordered - good spot op.

Bought one of these for £19.99 in December from Amazon and it's certainly proved to be useful...have used it on a variety of jobs and it's held up well.

He has every right to reply as the screwdrivers he linked too are better than the tut being touted here!

Bought one of these last year when they were on offer in B&Q, it's a great little screwdriver with plenty of torque.

i never write comments but feel compelled to do so. i am a spark and own many branded and expensive drills tools screwdrivers, this is one of the most used tools on my toolbox, the value for money is incredible, use daily fixing back boxes, fascia, connections, screwing in general,no need for torque as you just release the trigger, enough power to do many jobs, but not to much power to damage items that suggest hand tools only.(flat pack etc)that pony set of screwdrivers that dont compare and are not fit for purpose against what this item is capable of, are nothing on this item, this item save loads of time against a screwdriver and has lasted me years now with no issues.some comments are just ignorant and ridiculous.GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT VALUE,

Our previous homeowner left a small hex drill chuck in the garage. I use it with the OP screwdriver (previous model).

3hr charge time!

I have the older model which has a 5hr charge time. It requires a lot of planning as it is likely to fail mid-diy job. I was using it with a hex countersink bit to do skirting board though!

Also I found it seemed to have a lot of torque for a screwdriver. Too much for some jobs so I just used a hand screwdriver!
