I think it is good price. Bought one for Christmas present. Can be used as normal cordless screw driver. The reviews are good too.

Apparently RRP is £59.99

Yep. I was going to add that, as alone those adapters would cost around £25 for the pair and this set is £56 plus on EBAY.

I just treated myself (Despite already having had a IXO for 4 years).

These are the same as the SKIL BTW.

That's the girlfriend's present sorted!

Are these cheap now because most cheap wines these days come with screw caps, so no need for these gimmicky items?

Then why would this one only be £4 more?

The best way to open a corked bottle of wine is a 'waiters friend' corkscrew. It is the size of a teaspoon in your kitchen drawer. You can probably pick one up for £2.

This attachment, on the other hand, is considerably larger, and is unlikely to remove the cork from a bottle of wine quite so efficiently. I guarantee you bits of cork in the wine. And unless you keep the screwdriver in the kitchen drawer as well, it's not even convenient. This attachment is utterly worthless, and I do not think they would even TRY to shift them were it not Christmas.

What he said.......

I've actually bought one of these for my dad - I think he will find it not only practical (the screwdriver) but funny (the corkscrew) also.

My family tend to find these sort of gimmicks fun. My mother bought one of the those pop cap bottle openers last year and you may say a normal bottle opener would be more efficient but I'd rather have the pop cap as it's different.

It looks like this;

I bought this item because I thought it would class things up while I was screwing. Instead of the usual old boring tool, I figured that I could use a new tool that would really thrill everybody with my screwing prowess.

It turns out that this item does, as advertised, do a reasonably good job of screwing. However, its utility is somewhat limited in the following circumstances:

1) When you need to screw a lot. If you're busy in an all-night screwing session, you'll find that this tool just isn't up to the job. Though it starts off strong, you'll find that it quickly gets weaker until it's not worth the trouble at all to screw anymore.

2) When you have a very tough screw. Sometimes, circumstances make it such that screwing isn't as easy as it should be. This tool just doesn't have the power to get the job done.

That's why I gave this item three stars. Though I can now screw with a more exciting tool, things really aren't that different than they were before. I would probably recommend that anybody who has a long session of screwing ahead of them try something else.

Can you attach Dremel style multi bits to this or should I just buy a Dremel?

Seems a much better deal to me, who wants to open wine bottles with a damn screwdriver!

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, would this screwdriver be sutable for PC building?
Also could someone recommend a good PC tool set for a armature PC builder.

I use this for repairing PC. It saves a lot of times removing screws. Yesterday, I was working on one of the buffalo NAS drive which as about 40 screws in total. Thanks to this, all done in less than 3-5 mins.

Cheers, ordered

Only 10 left in stock now...

Thanks fullmoon saw this screwdriver last year on Amazon's black Friday lighting deals.

This is a pretty decent tool and at this price it's pretty good, joetipper's post below is probably a better deal practically speaking.
The only thing that is missing from this is the torque setting which the older Bosch screwdrivers had built in, however they can be bought independently, here is one example (£12.99 delivered):

Just cancelled my original order & went for that one.
I'm much more likely to need those adapters than the corkscrew attachment thing

BTW: Triple Nectar points with Amazon today

.

I've got one of these, I really like the look, feel and it matches my other Bosch stuff.

The MAJOR problem I find with this is the stupid forward/reverse button. It drives me mad as it never locks into place when I'm using it and you can easily knock it pushing the power button. I don't know why someone didn't look at the prototype and say "hmm, this could be a problem as it is so loose"
