It's a good price but one of the reviews says it scratches really easily which you'll always have with brushed stainless steel hobs!
Just ordered thanks, been on the lookout for a bargain hob for a while!
If only it was the 5 burner hob!
If you choose a stainless steel hob you'll regret it for ever: after just one use it'll never look the same again: it'll scratch and it'll be impossible to clean properly. Black enamel cleans up beautifully year after year. And don't be swayed by the brand name, these things are made in anonymous factories which slap various brand names on them, like my £99 NEFF branded one (Currys were out of stock of the BEKO one).

We installed a Zanussi brushed steel hob in 2004. Cleans as new. Obviously you can't scrub it with steel wool. I use steam cleaner with nylon brush attachment. Not a scratch on it after all those years. This looks lovely. I'd buy it if I was in need of one.
I agree with the comments bout stainless steel, I have a sink made of it and it looks terrible after two years and I look after it well. My white enamle hob on the other hand is spotless after 18 years !
Stainless steel is a durable, hygienic surface ideal for professional kitchens. It is NOT a practical surface for use in a domestic kitchen which you want to keep looking smart. I recently installed a kitchen in a relative's house and they chose SS for hob, extractor hood, sink, fridge/freezer: nightmare to try keeping like new - every fingerprint and watermark shows.

Enamel should be the surface of choice for a hob (wipes back to new for years). Even glass is better than SS but does show every finger mark.
I've had a SS hob for over 18 years and all I would say that its aged well and the finish has character!! On the other hand a White hob in my Daughters flat has discoloured and the white nobs have gone a shade of yellow! I do like the cast pan supports on this model they look firm and robust compared to some of these later models with wire formed pan supports. Good deal.

Industrial stainless steel used in Kitchens shouldn't scratch to the point of looking bad or being unable to clean. That's kind of the point of it. Nobody in their right mind complains about Kitchen sinks.

Agreed with all of the comments about scratches - got a S/S Bosch hob which is just over a year old and its a nightmare not to scratch.

Will never get S/S in a kitchen again.

You are mis informed regarding anonymous factories
Good Price - I purchased a couple of months back for £178 from Curry's , but don't forget you need someone to install it, so add another £100 on top.
Is this plain stainless steel or brushed stainless steel?

Brushed stainless steel is fantastic, have used in various domestic kitchens for many years - still looks good and is practical.

However when working as a chef, plain stainless steel is more common for worktops etc. mainly because it's cheaper than brushed (just as durable and easy to clean) and the guests don't exactly come into the kitchen to look at wear and tear marks or smears from the way it's been cleaned/polished.

If it's brushed, I'd consider it straight away and disregard the comments about the scratches, if it's not, then the criticism of the surface aesthetics are justified.
iv seen on some cooking shows the hob grills are totally flat spread across the hob.
anyone know of any that come with that kind?
Can you price match at ao
Thanks ordered one. Anyone who knows any bargain deals for double electric ovens?
I usually use stainless steel cleaner on ours and whilst it does have some fine scratches for a 12 year old hob it looks pretty well.

This might be a griddle pan extra attachment?
Does it need a frame to stand on? Or can I put it on the steel table without other support? Thank

Just chased this up, 5 bloody weeks lead time

Mine was supposed to be delivered last Thursday however got it on Saturday.
Few things;
Very easy to scratch... got one hair line scratch already.
Very hard to keep it clean
Flame beams are irregular and not consistent. Means at 12, 3, 6, 12 they are less prominent than other places on the largest one.
Child can rotate the knob as there is no lock however if the child do not press it, it get locked and no gas is leaked. Child can keep playing with rotational movements though. I guess, they should have allowed to move the knob only with the downward pressure to have child safety lock.

Overall, good purchase for £120.
