Great product - it is laser before people start claiming otherwise

Buy 3 get 4th free as well... at least on my Amazon account. says enter code HNG4FOR3 at checkout. Available on selected home and Garden items

I've got one of these. The only downside is that it will only work up to around 15m. If you need more, look elsewhere.

You missed out, it only measures in metric.

Haven't laser measurers been around for years? What's so good about this one?

A generic laser measure, made under loads of unbranded names, reviews for this particular one aren't that good, but in general does the job and people are happy.

Cold. Tried measuring for a new floor for the hall of mirrors and wouldnt work

unbelievable. Bought it last week for 39.99 after waiting for weeks. Now everyond have dropped prices.

These are excellent. Cost me £44.95 last year from Amazon!

This is only ok, but would definitely advise to treat yourselves to a proper laser from Leica, and they only start at £99 with distance measured upto 200 metres!! 15 metres, you honstly might as well save your self money and just use a tape measure!!

Well I'm an estate agent and I use this model every single day to measure property. It's very rare you come across a room to measure which is larger than 15m Sq. This laser measurer is more more than adequate for the majority of users. Heat!

Fair enough comment, im just thinking of land and large properties but suppose its perfect for that. The basic leica disto however thetapestore.bmobilized.com/?re…360 for £99 has bluetooth so you could send all your measuremt to you phone, tablet etc in real time.I use the Leica D510 (£500) and its magnificent but suppose a bit OTT for a distance here and there.

I am a surveyor and I use this everyday. (I also have a Bosch professional DLE range laser for larger areas measurements external work as and when required) , the plus point on this model is that it is very compact , fits in a shirt or trouser pocket and for quick internal measurements it is ideal. You can't really compare this to a Leica or the Bosch professional range ... but for the price and what it can do, and for it is very small size it's hard to beat.

You cant even really compare your boschh professional to a leica disto, there not in the same bracket!

Not sure how anyone uses these for anything that requires any degree of accuracy. I bought one last year for £45 last year and just found it unreliable. Thankfully, I dropped it once and it stopped working. I then got a Lieca Dista at about £150 which is very accurate, has lots of functions and survived a drop onto concrete from 4m without as much as a scratch. Sometimes it is better to pay too much than too little. If you had to have sex with a prostitute, would you rather pay £28 or £150?

I didn't compare the Leica to the Bosch professional range... I said quite clearly that you can't compare the product on offer to the Bosch professional or the Leica. The Leica range is probably the best out there, at a premium price. the Bosch professional range is good value for the money you for pay for it, which would be considerably less than an equivalent

Leica.

Nobody cares.

Go and put up your own deal on a Leica if you feel such a burning need.

Great price for this Bosch unit.

Personally I bought this a month ago for £20 (using my halifax clarity card)

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-SW-E50-50m-164ft-Laser-distance-meter-with-bubble-level-Rangefinder-Range-finder-Tape/1896010643.html

It gets rebranded under all different names but basically a great unit, http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ME9MTMC/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1433682510&sr=8-12&keywords=50m+laser+measure

They do bigger distances too if you need it, great value and nicely made.

There's a way round this. Purchase a new one from Argos or Amazon and return the new one to the place you purchased the one a week ago with its receipt. Job done!

For crying out loud, can you not see an obvious price difference? If somebody requires a laser measurer only for using in small domestic environments, why the hell would they purchase one that is over £70 more expensive. Absolutely absurd.

I would strongly advise against using a prostitute to check dimensions they are notoriously unreliable

Cuslund, instead of wasting time furthering your own Leica agenda, why not spend it doesn't something productive? Grammar lessons perhaps?

As a small domestic tool to assist with jobs around the average home and garden, this is a great bit of kit.

just my tuppence...... I always thought Hilti laser equipment were the go-to premium benchmark for the building industry. I have a number of their laser products and I would highly recommend them. My colleagues Leica laser distance measure is inferior in my opinion. The bosch one here does seem good value for its intended market. I guess that makes it hot!

Me Leica the Bosch!

Got this a couple of years ago and had hours of fun with it!

Found it to be accurate every time and within the quoted specs of +3mm or -3mm at 15m which is certainly good enough for any non-professional use. Basically it does what it says and for the majority of people who are not willing to pay over double or triple to gain another additional 1 or 2 mm accuracy over 15m it should be good enough.

On a more serious note, what are you going to use it for? If it’s for just measuring rooms the cheapest Chinese tape measure will do. If you are measuring to cut material for the cheapest Chinese tape measure will give you 100% accuracy.

Bought this the last time it was on here.
Have still yet to take it out of the box. Normal measuring tape does the job

If only Leica were able to accurately measure your appalling spelling and grammar. (_;)

i looking for a laser tape measure to measure signs without having to get on ladders. typical use would consist of measuring the top front of a shop. would this be good for what i need?
