Bosch PLR 15 Digital Laser Rangefinder £26.99 @ Amazon

Great price, highly doubt you can get it anywhere else for this price. Deal of the day so be sure to order today. It's Bosch, so you know what sort of quality you're getting.

For those people who don't know what it is, it's a laser tape measure. Measure up to 15 metres accurately. Works on 2 AAA batteries (included) and has a backlight.

What's the difference between a range finder and distance measure?

15m isn't much (digital measures are usually upwards of 50m) but it looks to be a good price if it's what you're after.

Edit - voted hot.

Normal price is £39 @ Homebase

Good price, I paid £28.49 back in October for this model from Amazon

Nice to see something else on the site than than the usual yankee candles, hdd drives Or game bundles. Not a deal for me but have some heat.

Looks good but I got to thinking how many things I actually measure that have a solid end for this to be able to work. For example: I want to measure the width of my dining room table...can't do this, I want to measure my curtain rail...can't do this...etc...
I think it would remain in the drawer and used actually very little in the average household,

Ceiling height measure looks a good feature though

Heat for price though as it is a great deal.

Useful for estate agents I guess?

My cat loves this, and I always know how far away she is.

is green colour means diy range?

good price for a good unit

I see the need for a golf ball finder but no need for a range finder (analogue or digital).

Great finds! Thank you!

I've got one - love it!

If you want to measure your curtain rail and your table I'd reassess your life.

Bosch quality is not that great. You should look at the compartment in my freezer, all broken with cracks and holes. ...Deteriorating. I am going to email the CEO with photos of these cracks and ask why they are so mean..

How good are these outside, in bright sunlight?

some people get new curtains and new tablecloths from time to time and prefer them to fit....

Got one for Xmas. These are really useful for home renovation

Got the 50m one on lightning deal at Xmas. These do work in sunlight but I bought it for the Pythagoras theorem functionality to overcome the fact you need an edge on what you want to measure. It is good but only if you have a tripod or something for it otherwise it will not give you a correct measure as it needs to not move when you take the measurement.

Hot. For everyone cautious about it being only 15m most tape measures are 8m!
This is a god send for quick measurements and is surprising accurate.

For ceilings and hard to reach areas it pays for itself in the first use.

It's been under £50 for over a year on Amazon.

Most tape measures are generally 5m, you have to pay extra for an 8m one!

I grabbed one of these it in the last Amazon deal at around the same price, possibly a pound or two more. Yes it is only the 'gree' DIY range as someone asked, but that just means you only get 15m instead of 50m. That's still a good distance though, and -as stated - it's surprisingly accurate

Thanks for that information, good to know. That reminds me, I must remember to pop over on to one of the other posts about baby products and tell them how their deal is of no use to me because I don't have a baby.

This thing is amazingly accurate. Highly recommend it

You would attach something to the other end of the table/curtains (piece of card maybe) and measure to that giving you the measurement you are after.

Great price but 15m isn't going to be much use to a professional

The last time these were on offer, I looked into them and ended up buying this 80m one from china for £33.25
dx.com/p/r…371 which I've been really impressed with.

Derr, these things are for architects and building surveyors, not people too lazy to measure with a tape.

Hence why this is in the Bosch DIY range and they do a 50M one for the professionals that need it.

Cost and effectiveness for the job in hand is not rocket science, just common sense

Any way of combining this with a spirit level to become a two in one measurement and line levelling tool?

I don't suppose you'd even need to do that much - for portable items, just hold them against something (a wall or small child for example) and measure the distance to that. For fixed items, just stand something on the end. Yes, card would work but surely more fun to shoot a Lego minifigure (quite possibly belonging to the aforementioned small child). Excuse me while I go and reassess my life...

Very good deal, I was lucky enough to get the PL50 on Amazon lightning deal £60.

"PLR", "Laser". "Rangefinder" ..... dunno what this thing is but pretty hard to resist with those words raising my eyebrows

Their green (DIY) products are terrible, but their blue (Trade) products are still some of the best you can buy. You will pay about three times the price, but you get what you pay for I suppose.

No Good. Hasn't got the most essential Inclinometer Function

It's a tool. It's made by Bosch. It has a laser in it.

How come I don't own one already?
