Brilliant drill this. Heat!

Agreed and the batteries are into changeable with other Kit in the range.

Well recommended. A great way into this system and a very handy and powerful drill to have in your toolbox

Must be really old stock to have the 1.5ah batteries but still a good price.

Didn't spot the model difference, I have the heavy duty 10.8 this is a light duty looking at it, great for the DIYer then.

The new shock is rebranded GSB120-Li. You still get 1.5ah batteries in the pack although the sticker now states 12v rather than 10.8v. Sill use the same 4.15v (max) per cell 18650 cells.

CRACKING BIT OF KIT .

Is this better than the slightly more expensive makita that was posted the other day ?

Or there's the 18v black and decker with hammer action and 2 batteries for £62..... BLACK+DECKER 18 V Lithium-Ion Hammer Drill with Kit Box and 2 Batteries amazon.co.uk/dp/…87F

Drill Capacity: Concrete (mm): 8
"impact drilling in masonry"

pretty good for £60
spec taken from here link

I dont think these are meant to be used primarily for drilling in to brick, but a couple of holes should be ok now and then.

Is this not a better set? Both the standard drill and impact driver, with 2A batteries.

Good spot. Would the 2.0 amp batteries not make a big difference on the power though?

How often would the average DIYer need an impact driver though?

They'd give you 33% more duration. It won't make any difference to the torque of the tools. I.e. you'd still be able to drive in the same screws at the same pace. The difference would be the 1.5Ah battery would do, say, 100 screws, and the 2Ah would do 133.

So if you tend to run your batteries right down when using them it could be worth going for the larger capacity to give you that bit more uptime. If you're unlikely to do this then it would make no difference, especially if you charge them up after each use.

Dammit Op even with two other Bosch drills I couldn’t resist this excellent find. Heat added

Just saw this and wanted to buy..... Back up to £71.61

I grabbed this bargain and it arrived today. However, what I received is the GSB 120 - Li. It looks the same as the GSB 1080-2-Li though.

Anyone know what the difference is?

I believe it's the updated naming scheme as Gavinlewishukd says in a comment above
