I got a dewalt 18v to replace it and it was 100% improvement. A real pity as I have lots of Bosch Pro stuff and many batteries. This is not one of their best drills.

Nah. Owned it. Sold it. Bought GBH 18V-26.
Pross
- same 18V battery as the rest of range (main point if you have 15+ tools on same battery)
- 18V batteries are much cheaper. 18V 8Ah less than £100 vs 36V 4Ah £120
- pretty much no tools in 36V pro range which means you need to spend £300 for two batteries just for one tool.
- much lighter
- shorter
- smaller
- powerful enough

Conns
- obviously less powerful 3.2J vs 2.6J but still enough for light chiselling

BTW
New ones coming shortly to fill up the gap

Bosch GBH 18V-45 C - 12.5J

This is the worst Bosch 18V SDS.
Very low power, while heavy and bulky - 1.7J only

If you want small one just for drilling go for GBH 18 V-EC - 1.6J
Nice little tool, very short, and really light.

I you after some light chiselling as well go for GBH 18V-26 - 2.6J
So far the best 18V SDS from Bosch. Enough kick for any drilling, also enough for light chiselling in brick (for backbox etc), still can be operated one handed. My favourite tool from the whole range

I know not all sites are the same but when we have heavier jobs the 110v comes out.
We are all Bosch in our company, I mean every tool going and no complaints, had a sds going faulty (sent to repair £45 and will last some more time but also have a spare one) but hey I absolutely destroyed it no mercy so my fault.

But there is considerable price difference. Also in certain situations you don't need more than 1. 7j such as taking electric boxes out.
