Description

The Bosch Professional ring/open-ended spanner set comprises ten high-quality tools in the most common sizes between 8 mm and 19 mm. The combination of open-ended spanner and ring spanner with innovative ratchet technology opens up a seemingly endless number of applications in trade and industry. The special thing about the ratchet function: Thanks to the toothless mechanism, the ratchet works from a backswing angle of 3 Degree, making it ideal for narrow and hard-to-access spaces.

All spanners are made from high-quality chromium-vanadium steel and guarantee a long service life. The special matt black version with laser-cut Bosch Professional lettering also makes for an elegant, tough look. The supplied wrap bag is made from robust fabric and makes the tools easy to store and transport.

For this sort of money I would hope to get a lifetime guarantee (like Halfords professional) or just buy Teng tools.

Seem quite expensive for what they are.

I claim to be no expert on these tools - but wherever I look they seem to be more expensive - ebay at £120 even. Maybe someone who knows more in this area can say why they are that expensive and if this is really a good deal or not, for me the price felt good compared to all places hence posted.
If they are real pro level quality, it's not a bad price.

I've honestly never seen a Bosch Spanner to know if these are any good , anyone know who makes them ? I'm just curious
awaits first smart ass comment "Bosch"
Most Bosch stuff is made in Malaysia Mexico Taiwan and China. Still the odd hand tool made in Europe apparently

Where they are made is kind of irrelevant. The quality of materials and build quality is more important.

I'd say the most important thing would be the spanner using them, my neighbour works for a large german dealership, he's under 30, I had to diagnose and help him fix his R5 turbo with a poorly built carb and a vacuum leak, but then I am a bit older and have stripped, cleaned and setup dozens of motorcycle carbs over the years... and car ones too... not a laptop in sight

I would say - you will need only some spanners sizes. Get them top notch. For home use - LIDL set for tenner will fit too.

I would like to have the Facom MODM.467RJ14, but in reality only: 10, 13, 22, 24 would be needed.

Seems like you don't know tool prices. Great price for quality tools. These are expensive because of the type of tool. Not so common, but becoming more so because they are incredibly handy.

Nice find!

P.s to all inc. Argyll68; keep your nose and more importantly comments out of it if you randomly gonna go round chatting nonsense.

What? For this sort of money - then you name drop Teng. Way more expensive (top quality mind). Just Teng! Stupid. Might as well be saying; just buy Snap-on.

Bit mardy aren't we alchemist1883. Got a set of bosch spanners to accurately comment on their quality? having used loads of different make tools, I've never known anyone to use any of this brand apart from power tools and accessories obviously

Quite an angry response to an innocent comment.

Have you considered speaking to someone about that anger?

Correct. I buy mine from Halfords. Fortunately I haven't had to return any tools yet.

They will have QA to pass so I wouldn’t be to worry about it.

But why do so many German companies make their stuff in Germany, then ? Or - even MORE - Japan is one of the most expensive countries in the world for living space let alone manufacturing. But its only the multinationals that go to the "cheap countries" for manufacturing their product.
Ready made excuse. I have disbelieved that excuse many many moons since !

Don’t get me wrong, I would love seeing more companies producing in Europe but that would mean we all have to pay a bit more for our stuff but we would probably have the money to do that as more people have jobs. Maybe that’s just my wishful thinking as I believe it’s much more complicated that that

Thjat argument is proved to be wrong using the same point you are answering. People pay more for tools made in Germany to start with. More and more ordinary people not just dedicated DIY'ers and craftsmen are avoiding the "Made in China" "Made in Malaysia" etc stuff than ever.
Ironically when Chinese made stuff has improved dramatically.
Not a bad find, but, you can get better quality if you shop around.

Keep on smashing the buttons on that smart device of yours. You come across as a very angry person. Go and get yourself checked out, you've only made yourself look negative here.

I've had a set of the Halfords professional ratchet spanners for years. Been bulletproof apart from one of the smaller ones where the ratchet started spinning in both directions. Oddly, it seems to have cured itself now though. I probably used it on something that was too tight - ratchet spanners are ace, but for really stubborn stuff where access is limited I try to stick to a regular(?) spanner.
