I've been looking for a drill for a couple of weeks and missed out on the Worx deals at Homebase and the Ryobi deals in B&Q. Popped into Homebase on my way home and found this in store. Stated was £129.99 then £109.99 now £54.99. There Was one still in the cabinet in the Luton branch. Online is still showing £129.99 so must be a new offer as wasn't this price earlier in the week. Worth checking out in store as seems a great deal for a Bosch lithium ion drill with 2 batteries.

The price on the till still came up as £129.99 so they had to do a price check which is what the "discrepancy" is

Good deal...... Will check Haringey Homebase in the morning, as I work there, If there is any at that price will buy few of them
and flog them on ebay

Don't expect green Bosch to last unless diyer. Better to spend a bit more on something decent. Screwfix have a good hitachi, and b&q a deal on a dewalt.

good if it's national, could be a local 1-off

post any stores found at that price tomorrow folks

'Price discrepancy' suggests it's a one off mistake.

If they sell this at BandQ then get it for 10% less.

Like I said it was labelled up as "£129.99 then £109.99 now £54.99". Checked with the guy who unlocked the cabinets and he said that was the price. Came up as £129.99 at the till as they must not have updated the system as this wasn't reduced a couple of days ago when I was in. Had to go and check the price herself to confirm, that is why it has "discrepancy" on the recipt.

Yes, rubbish.

Bosch are not what they used to be. An ex-bosch engineer just joined my company and he doesn't touch anything Bosch. Also, the week before we had an ex siemens engineer join and hes also put me off siemens for life

They closed out the psb 18 LI2 at that price. Maybe you applied that sticker to the new 1800 model.

Regardless will check at my local tomorrow...

Save your money and get a Makita.

I have no idea where you work but if he really was a engineer at Siemens then left I would take what says with a pinch of salt. I have installed and service millions of pounds worth of Siemens kit (industriall not domestic) and found all the engineers to be very good and well paid, could never get any of them to think of defecting. Also have a Siemens washing machine and dishwasher for last 6 years, never had a tiny bit of a problem with either. Also I think that Siemens and Bosch are the same company when it comes to domestic.

I don't have great things to say about my ex-boyfriend, either. What's your point?

Not rubbish at all. Blue Bosch is very good product, but green Bosch, certainly not worth the rrp of £129, and from personal experience would be false economy to even spend £60 on this.

Fair point, but for everyday diy surely this should be fine. If you can find me a better cordless 18v hammer drill with 2 lithium-ion batteries I'll send it back.

Perfect drill for someone who does diy why spend £200

What a steal. You can't buy replacement battery packs for some Makita/Dewalts at this price. Use it to death and smile as it goes in the bin down the line. Maybe switch to sds chuck for hammer drill use though.

Chuck works itself loose on this model. Don't know if they have fixed it but not a bad drill for that sort of money.

Bosch quality isn't what it used to be (all my latest drills have been Makita which is brilliant). Having said that £55 for this drill is an absolute steal. I'll have to pop down to Homebase once my driver gets up.

Ive been borrowing a Boschman,2 drills and 2 batteries. I bought the Worx drill recently and it broke so I'm going to try and swap it.
The worx drill was better imho

I've had this drill for moderate DIY use for 2 years and can't fault it.

Been using this drill now for some serious DIY for about 18 months without problem. The "torch" thing is pretty useful too. It illuminates the area to be drilled when pulling the trigger. 10/10 for value for money. Cant buy a single li-ion battery for that price.

Its a no deal. This was a one off cock up. The drill is not on offer ive checked.

Checked in Orpington store, no deal
