Ok drill, construction isn't upto much. The switch to change drill direction is easily broken internally.

I got about 6 months good use from mine before the chuck motor bearing seized.
also includes the offer to include bit sets for 41 or 44
My Bosch has lasted me for a decade's worth of DIY work so far.

I think that's the problem, these new ones aint like the very good older ones
Bosch used to be fantastic but I have heard poor reports lately. 650w Not very powerful either.

my corded one has lasted almost 14 years so far and it was only cost me about £10 i think

used on average 1 hour a week but nearly always drilling into brick/masonery so its had a fairly hard life

true for alot of things these days, only exception is cars

zanussi washing machines used to be ok cheap washing machines until they started using alot more plastic parts from about 10 years ago
When you say new bosch drills how new are we talking, i have have this drill for about 4 years and its still going strong. Drilled through concrete, metal and of course wood no problems.

argos over inflating prices again
I'd agree with unquestioned, had the exact same problem with this drill after a few months of DIY use, the switch internal is knackered. Feels pretty cheap and that's compared to other cheapish makes (Worx, even Screwfix Titan). Would avoid.
Bosch green are just a cheap make now, I'd also say if you're buying it for the hammer function just spend a bit more and get an sds drill like this- you'll wonder how you ever lived without one.

It's hard to beat an SDS drill for raw power. I got a Challenge one several years ago and even for a cheap make it's actually been too powerful for some jobs. If you're not that strong then try to get one with a safety clutch as they can break your wrist or unbalance you if the bit jams.
Thanks OP ordered and collected - if I need anything more powerful I'll get a Tradesman in
