Best price for a while for the Bosch PSM100 corded 100w detail sander. This is a weekend special.

Amazon price matching.

Complete with case and 3 mixed sanding sheets.

Plenty in stock near me (West London). There may be voucher codes for higher spend. Please comment if you have one.

I've been watching the price for a few months as I need a replacement for mine which I've had for quite a few years. Ordered yesterday from Amazon at £29.99 but managed to cancel and re-order today at £25 from Amazon.

I recommend this sander, although the dust collector is a poor design and very difficult to empty. Eventually the base pads do become damaged and my front delta pad has detached. I stuck it back on with glue but the performance is much impaired - hence buying a replacement (cheaper than a new base pad).

HOTUKDEALers do us a great service when they point a deal's good and bad points. There is no medal for selling and spin.
I love the OP's honesty and that the product works as described from an end-user point of view rather than as a salesperson who has snake tongue and who has never used or read the products that they are recommending as a deal.
Thanks looking to order one, where would you recommend getting replacement sanding sheets and what grain size for doors and banisters.

Can I just ask why you say the dust collector is hard to empty please?
I have this model, it's been great tackling sanding jobs in my house which I'm renovating. Previous owners had put so much paint over paint on the skirtings, doors and dado rails this tackled with ease.
On the point about emptying the dust collector, it is a bit of a pain as it's a tight fit to pull out.
Would I buy again if needed, yes I would.
Are these suitable to use for sanding down a wooden table by a few mm and also for smoothing a newly skimmed/plastered wall?

I dont have this one but a similar b and q one.

I wouldnt touch a plastered wall with this . too small. To give an even finish and will mark the surface . You want a random orbital sander (i bought a cheap one in b and q for about 25 and you can pick up 10 packs of discs online or in tool station for less than 2 quid. )

But

Your better off doing the walls by hand. Possibly with sheet sandpaper round a block to try and give an even surface. If your plastering needs significant work you need to complain. If it needs slight work thats ok you just need to polish the surface with fine sandpaper. More likely to need to fill nicks and dents and then pollish the filled surface with sandpaper.

If you arent careful an electric sander with a course pad could rip a skimmed plaster coat off in seconds.

Thanks for all the comments about my honest review!

My original model was the PSM80 so probably around 10 years old and still working, but on its last legs. Not bad for around £25. My new one arrived today via Amazon (ordered yesterday and I don't even have prime, and picked free delivery).

A while ago I set up a camelcamecamel alert for 25 Bosch mixed sanding sheets and got alerted when the price dropped to around £7. I expect the generic versions are just as good, but I have a supply. Robert Dyas is selling 10 mixed sheets for £4.99 robertdyas.co.uk/bos…ets

Its actually not that hard, use a vacuum cleaner nozzle on high and put your hand over the vent part of the extractor and it'll get it all the dust out in about 15 seconds to looking brand new. I've been using this sander loads over the past month rubbing down kitchen worktops and other jobs and it's really good, £25 is a steal.

£25 on amazon too …£25 on amazon too https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-PSM-100-A-Multi-Sander/dp/B00ISW5KCU/ref=sr_1_1?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1503197081&sr=1-1&keywords=BOSCH+PSM+CORDED+100W+MULTI+SANDER+PSM100A

Yes I mentioned this in line 2 of the original post. I got mine from Amazon, but listed it as a B&Q deal because it is their weekend special that Amazon are price matching. Watch the Amazon price go back to £37.99 or £39.99 on Tuesday.
Thanks op, I managed to get Wickes to price match.
