Very good price for this - but only if you have the green bosch drill batteries.

I have this and it's much more convenient than the corded version - but heavier.

Best ever price according to 3 camels.

38885325-qIhkO.jpgGot a sander already as just pointed out to me, but bought this one because it uses the batteries I already have and it matches the rest of my Bosch items and is cordless. Not really working as an excuse but it's all I have.

Edit: Just to add I got 90 days amazon music unlimited for purchasing this sander. Email received, all processed and offer in place. There was also an offer for 90 day trial of Amazon music HD so both running till 31st Jan 2010.

This could be great timing, but I’m not sold on battery operated tools like this. My faithful Ryobi corner sander packed up last week after 10 faithful years service. I’m only a DIY’er, but it got used a lot.

I’d like replace it and fairly soon too, but, although this looks great for the price, I’m wary about something like this using batteries as 1) I don’t have any Bosch tools that use batteries and 2) I don’t want it to run out half way through a job and then be stuck until the battery is recharged. I guess it’d pay me to then have two batteries, which I guess would be expensive and then totally miss the point of this being a deal-plus I also guess that the batteries would deplete over long periods of storage and need replacing through lack of use.

Think I’ll get corded.

The cheapest way to get a pair of Power4all batteries is to jump on one if the frequent bosch li18 drill deals for around £50 - amazon always run it Black Friday.

amazon.co.uk/Bos…8-3

Then you'll be able to keep sanding while the other battery is charging (which is what I do).

Alternatively Amazon has a limited time deal on the corded version for £24.99 which while not quite the cheapest ever is a very good price - and it has a carry case which this doesn't.

Great price for this, I got mine on offer for £47 and that was a good price for it so this is hot!

I find it really useful but I'm already bought in to the power4all tools/batteries so no additional costs.
I have ordered however do the other Bosch 18v fit this otherwise will need to go back tia

The batteries with the logo in the main photo only. Otherwise wait for the drill offer I've mentioned earlier in the thread and start a collection.

Thank you for the comprehensive reply. I think I’ll give the corded model a punt as it’s also on offer. The negative reviews seem to be of similar complaint, but it has a decent guarantee, and at £25, if it only lasts two years, it’s marginally over £1 a month-and that way I don’t have to worry about batteries. The rest of my tool collection is still going strong so no need start thinking about moving on to another brand and/or battery powered.

Register your Bosch tools online and they give you 3 years warranty (an extra year). You must register within 30 days of purchase.
