Better if it was 18v.

These small Bosch drills are great when kitchen fitting / flat pack assembly etc, as they are lightweight, and small enough to fit within the units for adding fixings etc, which is where you'll find the LED handy, and these are situations where a larger drill can be a pain to use.
Great Price, heat added.

Just remember being NiCad it's good to run down the battery completely before recharging to help prevent 'battery memory'.Most of our drills are Li-ion, but we have a couple of these for the smaller tasks like those mentioned.

bought - looks good, like the spare battery, and can replace my cheapo homebase generic one - which has been very useful but has a rubbish battery and is pretty feeble for anything harder than stud timber ...

Agree with HAL2000, I used many drills and this is one I keep coming back to as light and reliable.
At this price it is 10 times betterthan an Aldi drill as it will last and most importantly so will the battery.
At his price it is a steal (almost worth it for the battery alone!)
HOT!

Would be better if it was a 18V Makita too with 3 x 3.0Ah Li-ion batteries and also £10 cheaper.

Pay the extra that you have to pay for a 18V bosch and you shall have one.

One of the reviewers says that he got 2 batteries but that was obviously a different deal but a review on the same drill.
