Good kit, v. cheap & battery is excellent for the occasional user, holds good charge when packed away.

Bought this drill with 2 batteries a few days before black friday, £72, then next day it went up to £80 so thought I got a bargain, but on black friday it went down to £55! This is still a good price for the drill though with one battery.
This is the one without hammer action... I'd wait for a good deal on the PSB 18-Li2 instead.
Before buying, people should know the battery isn't very powerful (meaning it can't summon the power for more difficult jobs). Should be fine for drilling into soft woods and replacing a screwdriver.

Yeah I have had the psb 1800 li2. Under heavy usage it lasted almost 3 years and motor had died recently but I'm not surprised after all the work it done daily.

Now I've got psb 18 li2 with 2.5ah batteries + the spare 2ah batteries from the old one and it's greatest piece of kit you can get for £75 I paid
Just so everyone is aware

The same drill, with added hammer action and with 2 batteries, can often be found for £55.

This deal has 1 battery and no hammer action.

Was £55 with two batteries and hammer action.
I've had this drill for the past 2 years. Great for flat pack assembly or general drilling stud walls. Not so good at drilling through solid walls. Great price though!
Heat for the price, but mine couldn’t muster the power to complete a simple stud-work job. Returned for a Matika (not pro, but the amateur range) and found it much better. Was about double this price, though, so heated, OP.

Guessing from the comments that this wouldn't have enough oomph for brick drilling?

It’ll do it, but in my experience it slows and freezes up when under load. It’s a fair product for the price, but you could pay a bit more and get a much more able drill.

That's a no. Took me 45 minutes to drill two holes to hang a mirror and I didn't even get deep enough. Had to cut the wall plug short!!

Where mate

Just keep an eye out at the usual places, Amazon, wickes, homebase, B&Q. Selco and another place (cant remember where) even had the pro version for £60 earlier on in the year.

This deal from last week had the PSB with 2 batteries for £54.99
Edited by: "jambone" 7th Dec 2019
bought the 2 battery version of this for £65 5yrs back from B&Q. hasn't failed me yet.
I have this from a previous years Dyas offer. What's good is, it's compact so can get inside cupboards etc. Has a half decent chuck though will still slip on occasion. I keep a mains hammer drill for brick.
Not a good deal, the psb hammer version with two batteries is often £50-60 and has been that price for a few years.
It's out of stock now!
