How do this flymo compare? … How do this flymo compare? http://www.wickes.co.uk/Flymo-Speedi-Mo-Wheeled-900W-Lawnmower/p/132374

Well, it's only 900W for a start (vs 1200W) and, being a Flymo, I wouldn't touch it based on experience.

We have the 34R (£100 back in Feb) - rear roller leaves fantastic stripes, especially as you can adjust the cutting height. Anyone interested, let me know and I will find a picture! The edge comb is nothing to get excited about, but overall, a great mower - superb price.

I got this for £65 quid last time Amazon had it on offer. Great little mower for the price, not as easy as some flymos/hover mowers to turn but you are rewarded with nice stripes. Recently I got back from a two week holiday after not cutting the grass for a couple of weeks before, I was expecting the length of the slightly damp grass to kill the mower but it soldiered through and is still going strong. Grass box is a bit on the small side but its a small mower so expected, on my lawn 10x4m I normally have to empty it 4 or 5 times.

thanks op

Is the edge come good enough to avoid having to get a strimmer out?

My garden is too small for stripes etc, just the edging that I really want to sort as my garden takes ages!

No, I always get the strimmer out, as my fence panels lap vertically, and the mower "catches" them, so I don't get a strim-free cut. It's not bad, but you'd still need to strim.

Great mower, had mine a couple of years.Love the stripes.

Definitely not. I have both this one (from a previous house) and a 40R one. This is fine for a small lawn (we use it for the front garden 3m x 4m lawn) especially if you need to carry it up steps. It's awful on a big lawn (hence buying a 40R) as the collector is rather small.

It cuts fine, although I find that it is a pain if the grass is even slightly wet, since it all catches in the outlet chute and doesn't really make it into the collector. The collector (as noted above) is quite small so make sure you have a wheely bin or composter close by, or a wheelbarrow.

I reckon there is still a good 5cm up to the edge of a fence or raised paving where you will need the strimmer.

How do you get the stripe? I'd love my lawn to have stripes lol, I've got the 34R version, great lawn mower btw.

Thanks - are there no lawnmowers that go close to the edge? I have house on one side, fence on other, raised shed on other then the patio and it means that my tiny lawn takes ages to cut when it really shouldnt! Nothing wrogn with my current one but I would buy a new one if it could save me that time

Looks like it from the images: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/917j5ReH5fL._SL1500_.jpg

I went through Flubit and received an offer for £53.24.

Bought thid mower couple of Months ago and happy with it. As said the grass combs are a bit of a gimmick but the roller does leave stripes. Only wish it had power levers on both sides of the handle. Can't go wrong at this price.

bought mine about 2 1/2 years back. It was a good mower while it lasted. We have a medium size back garden and small patch out the front. It died on me last week (cleaned after every use kept nice and dry in a heated garage) I hoped it would have lasted longer cost around the £100 mark. have replaced with the 40 this week. A better mower by far but it is a good bit dearer. I just hope it lasts though.

I think they are the same, B&Q call them differently. Same with all model. instead of heaving the 32 cm they put 320mm in name. ER Electronic Rotary etc.

I was looking to buy this before but when checked in store they looked tiny. Anyone have it could comment on it? We are tall and I am worried they wont be comfortable.

Just picked this up from homeless, good piece of kit if you have a small lawn. I think this Amazon deal has expired however.

I didn't, looks like you got one. Lucky you

I ordered on Friday so maybe i was too late. I'm not sure exactly how flubit works but seems more than a coincidence that i get cancelled just as the price on amazon goes up.
