I have the leaflet too and was going to post this. Of course it will happen but I'd reserve and collect to be on the safe side.

+ heat

Edit - just tried to reserve and collect but not available to do so. Could be a free for all on Sat...

I've got one of these, paid a lot more than 87 quid though :(.

It's a good lawnmower, the box fills up pretty quickly, but it cuts the grass well and seems to have plenty of power.

Heat added :).

really want a cordless battery powered one, Bosch makes them but they're so pricey...

can someone mark this as spam and if you see any more posts for it do the same or there will be none left by the time I get there

remember the other deals, garden chairs and paint its going to get very busy!!

amazing price, glad I resisted on the £69.99 340 last week, this will make an ideal replacement for my old sovereign mower

I paid £125 and thought that was good!

I saw B&Q had a promotion this weekend where you geta free Bosch strimmer with the purchase of any Bosch lawnmower. No idea if it will still be running when this deal goes live but worth looking out for.

very hot price!!

Great mower!

Got my dad one of those at £69.99 last weekend, its a great mower and not available at that price anymore so hope you manage to get one this weekend

Sickner, just got one of these last bank holiday for the discounted price of £125

My rotor doesn't not spin round freely. (or have i missed something on assembly) ?

Is this normal ?

Edited by: "InTheKnow444" 21st May 2014

I've got one of those and the handle just randomly snapped last night as I cut the grass. Was only the 4th time I'd used it. Thankfully I've still got the box and the receipt so it'll be going back to B&Q for an exchange tomorrow.

I assume you mean it doesn't spin freely when turned off..... if so, that is normal.
The motor will have some friction when its not switched on.

This is a blinding deal...... tempted to get it myself, even though my Rotak 34 is still working fine after 3 years.
The 34 has never really been big enough for my fairly large garden as well.

thanks, I have a black and decker rotary mower which does spin freely, this one is very hard to turn when cleaning the rotor

Its possible that your B&D mower may have a brushed motor, this is maybe why it spins freely..... The Bosch Rotak mowers have brushless motors, which are superior motors and maintenance free. A brushless motor does have a fair bit of friction when not switched on.

Edit..... saying that though, the motor shouldn't be hard to turn. You should be able to turn the blade with your hand with ease.

Sizzlingly hot....I'm in!!

Nah I've got exactly the same lawnmower (brilliant by the way!) - its very hard to turn the rotors. Doesn't seem to affect performance in the slightest.

Does it have an option to mulch, like the Qualcast? Far quicker to cut, as it saves emptying grass box.

You can get a mulcher attachment as an optional extra. Can't remember how much they are but I think it was less than £20.00.

I have the Rotak 34 and while you can feel the resistance of the motor, I certainly wouldn't call it 'very hard' to turn the blade by hand.
Maybe there's more resistance on the higher powered motors on the bigger Rotak's like the 43.

Do you think there could be a link there?

I do believe so

Even so, it really is a fantastic mower; much better than the cheap, crappy petrol one it replaced. I looked at the battery powered version, but it was just too expensive for a tool which, in reality, doesn't get used that much.

Anyone else's lawn covered in daisies? Never seen so many this year.

can i buy one now, then on the 25 get them to price match the new price

I have this mower - its fantastic. Got it for about £130 a year or 2 ago, and that was a great price. £87 is a stunning price.

I bought one last year, the blade is quite 'soft' compared to Mountfield mowers, and the motor blew within 4 uses, COLD sorry, save you pennies, the reason for such a reduction is to shift them quickly

Where is the compulsory "I bought it for £80 " post ?

Price is for 3 days only, starting Saturday. if you want one reserve and collect it on Friday to pick up on Saturday at reduced price. the old promotion where you get free trimmer has finished. from somebody who works there.

Ah, YOU got the faulty one - we all wondered where it was!

Seriously - one faulty item under warranty (if indeed it was the product's fault) does not make a poor product. I don't think there is any other product on HUKD which attracts so much praise when it is listed. Mine is now into its 4th or 5th year and still going strong. I shudder when I think of the years I struggled on with a dreadful Flymo not realising such good products as this existed.
