This is a bit random, car batteries are vehicle specific...there's hundreds of different car batteries and fitments and power specs....it's like saying my battery is blue and white that's the one for me lol

Bought a battery from this supplier recently. Good service and very well packed. Don't rely on eBay parts compatibility. It was completely wrong for my car. Check the model number and size of your existing battery yourself.

This would make a great Christmas present for someone who collects batteries.

Is this good for van? Or to small?

Probably best if you don't try doing things yourself if you don't understand!

Might be too small mate, it is for vehicles that require L207 x W175 x H175mm battery.

Might be worth checking your service book/manual
Good price.

You need to find size of existing battery . These come in standard sizes and is written on the battery . Only the same size or smaller will fit in space provided . The newer batteries have more capacity than old ones so better to get one with more capacity and long warranty.

You also need to check position and size of the terminals
These are decent batteries. Had one for 4 years and my car started every time even after months of no use while travelling for work.
Can’t go wrong with Bosch.
Bosch gone down big time quality wise in last 10-15 years, but i assume batteries should be just OK.
I wish mine 110ah battery would cost this much.
Whenever I needed a new battery I went to local scrapyard and pay about £10 for a decent battery which will be load tested in front of you.

Mind you only ever needed 2 in 25yr of driving.

When I got the car I've got now - I looked in the battery compartment when it wouldn't start - to find someone had put a battery of this size in place of one that should have been 70Ah. It lasted a few months before dying - presumably from being overcharged all the time. I replaced it with a 70Ah one and it's been OK for about 4 years.

Daft main dealers sometimes don't get it. More capacity in amp hours and and a higher cold crank amperage doesn't mean it will mess the car up, but one insisted it would. Bought my own and fitted and the car has been golden.

Got one fitted from local car scrapyard in november for £15 39463794-Wg1fv.jpg
Apart from being a bit specific, this is certainly not "the ultimate battery". This should be obvious from the fact that it is from the "silver range".

It is ok for a basic car, but it would not cope well with the power demand of modern cars.

Needless.
Great price for a quality battery. ‘Tayna batteries’ also do mail order and normally have very competitive prices and sometimes you can use discount codes on their EBay shop too.

If you you are not sure of the condition of your battery ‘Halfrauds’ will do a free battery check test for you (they hope you will then buy a battery from them after, but there is no obligation to do this if you don’t want to).

As others have said check the battery size in your car before ordering, also if your car is second hand don’t always assume it’s got the correct battery in it. This is because some people (and garages) ‘cheap out’ when replacing a battery (knowing if it fails it will be many months later, rather than it the lasting 5-6 years it should easily last. Best advice is buy the best one you can afford, Bosch S4 batteries are a good compromise between cost and performance (Bosch S5 are even better with 5 year warranty, but obviously more money, but really good for cars with lots of tech). Varta make excellent batteries too.

LIDL and Aldi do excellent cheap battery chargers too for about £15 when on sale.

RAC always do a battery check and fail my new Bosch battery and ask me to buy new RAC battery from them for £120 as a special offer for me . But new Bosch battery never goes dead even after jump starting so I do not listen to them.
Really good price. I bought the same battery a few weeks ago. The last one of these I had for 5 years.

You drastically reduce the capacity of a lead acid car battery if you let it run down so RAC may still be right. Just because it still starts your car afterwards doesn't mean it's up to scratch or have the proper capacity left

Not true nowadays if your car has Start Stop or is fitted with an EFB or AGM battery for which the battery in this deal won't do.

Some idiot put a new but normal battery of same CCA rating instead of an AGM type in my Mercedes and although it starts fine if I leave a door or boot open for 20 mins like for cleaning or loading the car the car gives a warning message of low battery because it has dipped below 12v

True...I have two weekend cars, the batteries do not last at all (2 to 3 years) if you don't use or keep them charged up....I've had a couple of decent quality Yuasa batteries in the MR2 in 5 years, they are not that big a battery and go flat pretty quick....you will need a good charger if they go really flat....the electronic smart chargers from Lidl will not charge a very flat battery if the voltage goes below 7 volts, been there done that lol.

I know but they are not always correct, best double check and look up the part manufacturers catalogues and check a couple of numbers, the problem with eurocarparts (not so much with batteries) is that they use their own catalogue numbers and not the manufacturers number....I've had many wrong parts delivered by them....Amazon can be wrong as well.

Tbh I would go for a local pick up with a battery,if it's wrong you can take it straight back, not the easiest or safest thing to post which is why only certain couriers will deliver them.

Sounds like your battery has had it but as always, you know better! DId he tell you that running a battery completely flat would ruin the battery life but you choose to ignore him?
My Dad used to tell me the plates would bend if you let it go flat, it is in fact the sulphates crystallise on the lead plates, in some cases they can be regenerated with a smart charger but they are never as good once the damage is done.

If any travels along the M5 J9 mega battery store Tewkesbury are right by the junction, selling this for £45 at the moment. I use their hankook batteries which are just as good and £5 cheaper than this deal

Mine does that, the car isn't 6 months old yet, with its original battery, Gives me a notification on the MercedesMe app also

I looked at this last week as its is the right size for my Subaru Forrester BUT at just 44 amp inadequate in freezing conditions, the original fitment is around 60 amp.
You will need to check that if considering buying at this price which good and from a very good supplier
