This washing machine has 12 programmes, including special settings for:

Dark Wash
Drum clean
Shirts
Sportswear
Mixed Load

Super Quick 15/30
Duvet
Night Wash
Rinse/spin/drain

Delicate/Silk programme

What is the Spin Speed?

This washing machine has a 1200rpm variable spin speed, which saves you time and energy. It helps by partially drying the clothes during the spin cycle, removing as much excess water as possible.

What is ActiveWater?

The automatic load adjustment recognises the type and size of load in three steps and ensures that only the amount of electricity and water required for that load is used. ActiveWater Water Management achieves even more accurate results and can save time and energy.

How loud is this washing machine?

Bosch has created AntiVibration sidewalls so this model is quieter and moves less than other washing machines. The enhanced insulation also reduces noise levels, making it very quiet even during the spin cycle.

What is Vario-Perfect?

You can get your clothes clean in just 15 minutes with Bosch’s quick wash option. The Vario-Perfect programme allows you to be flexible with the wash times – you can increase the energy for a faster wash, or decrease for a slower, more prolonged wash. This machine also has programmes made specially for jeans, delicates and mixed loads – as well as many other options.

Does it have a delay wash function?

Yes - the digital display allows you to delay your wash for when it’s convenient to you, whether that’s early morning or early evening. The remaining time also shows you how long is left of the cycle. You can preset the required time for the washing machine program to start. In this way, you can be absolutely certain that your washing will be finished exactly when you want.

How energy efficient is this washing machine?

This Bosch washing machine has an energy efficiency rating of A+++-30%. This means that it is 30% more energy efficient than a A+++ rated model. It’s one of the most energy efficient machines on the market. Low energy usage will help you save money on your bills.

Is that a good washing machine compared to LG ones? limited views online. Anyone got this?
That's a great price for such an efficient washing machine. It's out of stock in Currys and John Lewis but both of them have it listed at over £600 without connection and taking away the old one.
Looks decent, but I wouldn’t buy a 1200 spin machine. Hadn’t realised how wet they leave the clothes compared to our 1400 machine until we recently had to do a few loads while in a rental property. Drying times were double what we normally get at home so in my opinion it’s well worth paying for the faster spin.

We have a 9kg LG, bought for similar money a year ago with a 5yr warranty (and that deal is back on). Aside from long wash times (the large eco wash takes 4 hours) I can’t fault it, and it’s easily quiet enough to use overnight which gets around the long program length somewhat.

Which LG model did you buy?
I’ve got this machine, paid nearer 500 quid. Does the job but had to get Bosch out under warranty due to issues with drum. They come out twice, fixed it on the second occasion and been fine since.
I’ve had a similar model 1200 spin Bosch in use for nearly 6 years now. The door catch failed about a year ago, but this only cost me about £10 for a new one which I fitted myself, and the rubber door seal turned black so I got another direct from Bosch for approx £30. Besides these two easy fixes, the machine has been really good considering it’s been in use almost daily by a family of four. So from a reliability perspective I can say I’d definitely buy Bosch again.
Nice find!
Hi, thanks. Have been looking for a washing machine. Delivery is showing up as £3.99?

All LG core internals are the same, so depends on whether you have a preference for Turbowash or Steam and whether you prefer white or silver. If you're not fussed then it's a case on whoever is offering the best deal on a 9KG 1400 model. You really can't go wrong with an LG.
Shows 485.01?
only 1200 spin

I agree. We now have a 1600 spin Beko, the clothes come out almost iron dry even on a full load. A quick spin in the dryer is all they need. Will never go back to a 1200 machine.

TheHun6 you seem to have a lot of knowledge around the LG washing machines. Whats the difference between the turbowash or steam? as they are around the same price and which one is better?

One isn't necessarily better than the other. It's all down to personal preference and which of the two features you feel would be of greater benefit to your lifestyle.

Higher up the range you can have both, but if your budget is sub £400 here's a summary of the two features:

With Turbowash there is a water jet situated in the upper part of the rubber seal. During the wash cycle what typically happens is an alternative pattern of slow spin, pause, add a bit of water, slow spin again etc.

Turbowash saves time by adding water from the dedicated water jet at the same time as the slow spin, thus reducing the washing time.

The fasted wash program available on a Turbowash equipped model is "Speed 14" but although it's fast, it's limited to 800 spin speed. However, it can be used in conjunction with other wash programs e.g. cotton etc. to help reduce those wash times too.

On the Steam Models not equipped with Turbowash, the shortest wash program is "Quick 30". Although it takes longer, it's more versatile in that you can wash at up to 40° with 1400 spin speed and in that setting takes 41 minutes.

There are 3 steam specific programs being Allergy Care and Baby Care and I believe with Cotton too. Higher up the range you can get Truesteam which widens the options of programs available with steam.

The main benefits of steam include softening, fewer creases, allergy removal and stain removal.

Either Turbowash or Steam will give you great cleaning results so you decide!
