I’ve not seen any bad reviews tbh and have just bought it myself. It’s the best price for at least 6 months (that’s how long I’ve been waiting haha!)

Great, thanks for the reply. Wasn't sure what decent dishwashers go for to be honest!
Is there a catch with using Hughes eBay outlet? Are these returned or B-grade items or just ex display? Any thoughts/guidance much appreciated

If you buy through eBay you can't get installation or recycle old appliance
quick wash time 29 minutes is not too long?
any ideas how to recycle/scrap the old appliance cheaply?
genuinely interested in the answer - I don't get it why this dishwasher is so much better than various others on currys site which are much cheaper (there are Hotpoint, Kenwood, etc with same 13/14 place settings and A++ rating costing around £250 - £300).
Is it just the Bosch branch or something else?
I am in the market for a dishwasher and would really appreciate the answer.

Strip it down and take it down the tip in the car.

Usually quality of parts. From the electronic components to bearings etc Generally the high end brands build quality and components. For example all the Bosch kit I have has lasted decades. Whereas some cheaper brands in the family <10yrs. Having said that a number of high end brands are now squeezing the margins from suppliers which can compromises quality. Most electronic boards are designed for five years life. They old electro-mechanical are unstoppable

This is the debate I'm having (with myself) - my 15 year old Bosch needs replacing (still works though the facia has come off; pretty basic model) so do I get this one for £380 or a cheapo Bosch one (c. £240 - also Hughes on eBay) or another brand? Can this one be worth 50% more than a cheap Bosch??

I’m tempted by this but will probably but from JL for reassurance. I’d defo stick to Bosch for anything like this. My 1996 washer is still going. Electromechanical programmer is worn and £300 to replace lol so I just use other programs. Done me proud but it’s not used everyday.
Everybody keeps saying that theirs lasted for 10-15-20+ years etc. I have a Bosch right now which needs replacing - it lasted for about 7ish years.
I really appreciate your replies but it just confuses me even more.

Yeah never going to be an absolute...you roll the dice etc :-)
I have just purchased this thanks to nothinmuch with the 900 nectar points added thanks to the other post. I chose this series 4 because my last machine was a similar bosch lasted 12 years
Had the white version delivered today (£360) - seems pretty good. Replacing a Beko model that doesn't wash properly unless on the Intensive mode.

Made in germany as well = nice surprise.

These new Boschs won't probably last that long. I have budgeted for it lasting 5 years...let's see how I get on!
I guess I’m too late
