Designed to be compact and powerful, the Tassimo Vivy utilises intelligent barcode technology to ensure the optimal drink quality every time. Bosch's Intellibrew system identifies the drink selected and adjusts the water, temperature and brewing time accordingly to deliver all of your coffee shop favourites at the touch of a button.

A 5 LED light interface keeps you up to date with machine's statue, letting you know exactly when the water tank needs refilling or when a machine requires a descale. The removable 0.7 litre water tank combines with Flow Heater Technology to ensure almost no heat up time, making the machine ready to brew drinks when you are.

An automatic cleaning and descale program makes looking after your Bosch machine easier than ever. There are over 35 different varieties of drinks available including espresso, latte, cappuccino, teas and hot chocolate.

Good deal via John Lewis, but I still find the whole concept of these machines as a vehicle for selling overpriced pod things when a cafetiere or an ordinary coffee maker and ground coffee would be much cheaper.

Lazy coffee making really.

I totally agree with you, it is lazy coffee making, but nothing wrong with wanting a quick lazy cuppa

I have a normal coffee machine for when friends come over, and this for other times.

the main advantage with a tassimo is its consistent in flavour, and so simple my 7 year old can make his own hot chocolate.

both have there pros and cons

1 "Pro" is how you can use the "Hot water disc" to deliver 150,250,350 and/or 450 ml (or anything between,as I can on my T40) of near boiling water, for a quick "normal" cuppa (Tea or Coffee) or anything else that requires it ( Cuppa soup, pot noodles etc) and do so in SECONDS

My £30 T40 (HUKD Last year?) came with a £20 credit when I registered the machine on the Tassimo Site, against my 1st purchase of drinks. I then noticed a few months down the line, the deal had changed to 2x£10 vouchers. Any idea if THIS deal would include a voucher of any kind, against a 1st purchase?.
Every little helps
