Plenty of reviews and user's comments (mostly good!) on Amazon can be read here.

This is one of the best selling machines of this type.

I have one of these and it is brilliant!!!!

Bought one last time it was at this price, used daily and recommended.

I just bought one of these last night at Currys. Fabulous machines, I couldn't live without my Tassimo! I'm just moving to a new flat, and this was right at the top of my list of must-buys for the new place, so pleased to find it at the reasonable price of £69.99 (and Quidco available).

Just a shame they don't do offers on the pods anymore, although if you wait until Ocado send you discount coupons for 15% or 20%, you can stock up then...

Im always using mine.
Great bit of kit! voted HOT!

Awful tasting coffee. Chucked ours out. I have yet to come across a pod type coffee maker that makes anything worth drinking.

Have had one of these for a while now and it still gets constant use. Also the fact you get tea, hot chocolate and herbal teas makes it an all in one machine for our household definitely HOT at that price.

I have been looking at getting this for the girlfriend, at this price i will now. Excellent

good price the pods are cheap to.

Interesting review, I've used my Tassimo daily for years
I assume your review was based on the Braun Tassimo, this has now been updated by Bosch and it no longer preheats the water so I think they may have addessed one of the issues you commented on

Yep. I bought 14 packs of 10 Stabucks pods from Currys at 50p per pack in January... Old deal. My wife likes the machine. We got ours from Costco for about £60 last Christmas

voted hot!

I paid £53.99 at Currys 4 months ago. see hotukdeals.com/dea…581

Expired? Showing £88.70 now.

Nope still showing £69.99 for me.

I've had one for years, but it hardly gets used due the cost of the pods. Where's the best place to get 'em?

its best to buy on tassimo online shop free delivery if you buy 30 quids worth most packets cost between 3&4 £s for 16 pods so about 30p a cup.

do the pods have expiry dates btw? and do i need to buy milk seperately?

They were still in store at £69.99. One of our cutomers is a bit of a coffee snob but swares that our machine at work is the only decent pod machine. It can be used for instant hot water too which is handy. Got one for home now.

Easy, clean and convenient for people who can't be bothered to make a proper coffee. Pods taste too artificial for my liking but many may not notice the difference.

Personal preference I suppose but in my opinion it is pretty good. You don't have a wide variety but there is something for most tastes. The Milka hot chocolate is worth the asking price alone. One of those with a double espresso and a Woods rum on top and you've got an old mans speedball.

These are one of the main items being promoted in Curry's latest Sale, which only started a few days ago, and were advertised on TV again this evening (Sunday).

Argos are currently selling them for £120, and so far as I know this Curry's price is cheaper than any other advertised offer at the moment... you can't even buy a new one on Ebay for less!

To answer a couple of questions asked earlier, the pods do have a 'Best Before" date, which on a packet I bought (at Morrisons) yesterday was April 2011.

There are usually 16 pods in each packet, to make 16 cups of coffee, tea or chocolate, but in the case of something like Cappuccino, for example, there are 8 coffee and 8 milk so you only get 8 cups. In every case extra water can be added (if required) to make a slightly weaker drink.

The milk (or creamer) pods can also be purchased separately in packs of 16 pods.

This surely has to be a really good 'Hot Deal', so keep the votes coming!

FWIW here's a review of a very similar-looking model - the TAS6515GB:

Although the Tassimo hot drinks maker is easy to use, it's slow to dispense drinks and performed poorly in our taste tests for both espresso and cappuccino.
The Tassimo makes one espresso or cappuccino at a time by using a unique 'T-Disc' system - it takes T-discs rather than using pre-packaged coffee pods or ground coffee.
Simply insert a T-disc and press the big button located on the front. For more than one drink, insert another disc and press go again. An LCD display will even guide you through the process and will tell you when to fill the tank or whether it's time to descale. It's rated 'good' for build quality, too.
Although this system is simple to use, as there's no need to measure out ground coffee, it takes almost 51 seconds to produce an espresso, which is slower than most machines on test. It takes even longer for cappuccino, as you have to wait for two different discs to be dispensed.
Our expert wasn't impressed, describing the crema as a 'bit broken and holey' and the espresso taste as 'hard and dull' (rather than fresh and clean).
Cappuccinos have an 'acceptable but not too special' taste and a 'mass produced' appearance, but with good 'colour blend'.
The amount of water dispensed is automatically measured, but pressing and holding the manual button means you can add more water if you want a bigger drink.
This smart-looking machine would fit easily on your counter-top, as the lack of steam pipe, porta filter and tamper means it is compact in size.
The removable water tank at the back of the machine is easy to use and can be filled at any point during your coffee making. Cleaning is easy as the machine has an automatic flushing cycle, while the external surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Pros: Simple and easy to use, good build quality

Cons: Scores poorly in our taste tests

The model reviewed above includes a Brita water filter, and is a lot more expensive. It also looks as if it might be a bit slower at preparing drinks.

The actual taste of the coffee, or whatever, does seem to be a matter of personal preference though, as one Amazon reviewer said "This is ideal - quick and easy to use with a variety of available drinks tasting as good as in the coffee shops. The kids love it too especially the frothy hot chocolate. Easy to maintain and keep clean - a real winner and well recommended."

As is often the case with this type of product, some will like it, and others won't!

Got one of these for xmas the year before last. We use it several times a week. It developed a leak at one point but Bosch were really good. They had it collected from my house and I had a new one a few days later.

Good Price. Hot from me.

just bought one yesterday. was easy to set up.
Had a cappucino last night, was a fantastic taste but wasn't terrible either. Surprised at how small the drink is though, will have to get some of those fancy cups! i know i can add more water just have to remember to press the buttin at the right time! its pretty quick to dispense drinks.
At this price its a great deal.

This product is still available, both in store or with FREE home delivery.

I have used ours every day so far, and am very pleased with the results, and I don't think you will find it cheaper anywhere else... not even on eBay!
