This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Had 4 or 5 of them at my local BM store - generally £40 on Amazon but currently £52 on Amazon, £80 in Argos. Sales blurb below.....

Sometimes you can get the Bosch Happy model cheaper but this model tends to be more expensive.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bosch Tassimo Coffee Machine.

Compact and powerful, the Tassimo Vivy utilises intelligent barcode technology to ensure optimal drink quality every time.

Bosch's Intellibrew system identifies the drink selected and adjusts the water, temperature and brewing time accordingly to deliver all of your coffee shop favourites at the touch of a button.

A 5 LED light interface keeps you up to date with the coffee machine's status, letting you know exactly when the water tank needs refilling or de-scaling.

Its removable 0.7 litre water tank combines with Flow Heater Technology to ensure almost no heat up time, and means the machine is ready to brew drinks whenever you are.

An automatic cleaning and de-scale program makes looking after your Bosch machine easier than ever.

And with over 35 different varieties of drinks available including espresso, latte, cappuccino, teas and hot chocolate, you're sure to find your favourite.

  • Intellibrew System with T DISC Barcode

If you buy this for the £20 vouchers for the pods (if the offer is still available with the box), don't bother. You can use only one £10 at a time. The postage is £4 or £5 unless you order over £30. So, with the voucher you pay £21 aprox. The prices on website are higher than at supermarket, so for £21 you get 5-6 boxes. You can get 3 for £10 in supermarkets.

Other than this, the machine is ok but quite basic. Not sure what this model has extra, got the Happy model from Currys for an excellent price. I replaced my Dolce Gusto basic model.

The reason I've done it was more choice for pods. Sadly, you can only get originals which are expensive. DG worked with cheaper non genuine ones and even the genuine ones were sometimes available for £1.50 per box.

The other disadvantage in with DG you can make cold coffee and also it's much quicker, probably half minute to make a cup, with Tassimo it takes about 3-4 times more.

On the positive side, this makes hot drinks, while DG does like warm drinks. I personally do not like very hot drinks.

OK price but perhaps worth to pay £20 more and get a nespresso instead, cheaper pods and quite a variety including non genuine ones, also possibly better quality machine.

Voted hot, as the cheapest here was about £40 and the price at other places is £60-70, however do not know what features this brings to make it almost double price in comparison with the Happy model.

When I looked at the Dolce Gusto machines you seem to have to muck around with a timer app to add the right amount of water but ultimately you should choose the machine that offers the drinks you want...I preferred the Tassimo options.
There is an interactive guide on this page
which.co.uk/rev…ine
which might help you decide which "pod" machine to go with.

Sheffield788 - if you mean the Currys £25.20 deal that was for the Bosch Tassimo Happy - which is generally the cheaper model....

Whats the difference in taste, cause tassimo tastes good...
I have one of these, had it for a few years. They are good value for the money if you can get one this cheap. They do seem quite 'clicky' at the start of the process... Is that a normal noise for them to make? Anyway, makes a nice coffee/hot choc.

Thanks! I guess you're right, my model is the cheaper model, do not know what the difference is in between them.
Depending now which model of DG you refer too, there is nothing really to mess with regards to the amount of water you want. The pods show you how much water you need but it is your choice how much you use. So, you set the amount from the beginning. With Tassimo if the cup is small and you want an espresso for example, but the pod is for Americano, you have to stay by the machine and control it manually.
I have to admit, DG coffee is luke warm while Tassimo does hot coffee.

You're right about this, different model. I've edited my comment and voted hot. The price is good, however the RRP seems ridiculous to me.

You have restored my faith in hot deals uk members

And you are right - rrp is ridiculous. Not sure why but the Happy and the VIVY 2 have the same rrp ( and features) but they seem to discount the Happy more...

Yep, had a read too. To me they look rather similar, budget models both.
