Bosch VeroCafe Latte automatic bean-to-cup coffee/espresso/cappucino maker. Came first in a test by German equivalent of Which? magazine. These are not normally discounted, at £252 a real steal. Cheapest no-name equivalent product would be Del Gusto KM20 at £ 269. Cheapest branded bean-to-cup machine on Amazon is from De'Longhi at £279.99, although this doesn't has the Bosch style milk-frother which can take the milk straight from the bottle.

I ordered mine on Monday and it arrived yesterday, using the free delivery option (came with Yodel). For £3.99 extra express delivery is available from DHL if you don't like Yodel. I can confirm it makes great coffee and the milk froth is super thick and creamy, sticking to the spoon!

Hope this helps someone. I know you can have cheaper and better coffees using different methods, but who is after convenience and doesn't want to use pods, this is a good option.

Great price but not sure if it's tempting enough if these John Lewis reviews are anything to go by...

disappointing

Thanks for the link, definitely need to take these into account. It's based on 3 reviews only though, the German Amazon site has 44 out of 67 5-star reviews (total rating 4.5 out of 5 stars from 67 ratings).

Can you use the milk frother to steam the milk in the conventional way? So, put the steam wand directly into the jug and steam it in the jug?
Hope that makes sense!

I hate this site!!!

Talked myself out of one of these a few weeks ago as I don't really like coffee that much.

But I like gadgets.

Oh well at least I can have a strong coffee in the morning to wake me up a bit after a sleepless night wondering why I keep doing things like this!

I once bought a Fender Rory Gallagher Stratocaster on a whim. Couldn't play guitar then. Still can't.

the steam wand only pulls out from the main casing by say 1 inch it does not actually detach itself from the machine.
it turns left & right at an angle
you would only be able to get a standard size mug under the wand i doubt if you would get a large jug under wand .

the plastic rubber tubing extension sucks the cold milk from a suitable container into the machine & heats it & froths it out into the cup

Thanks. I'd be using a stainless steel jug but just wanted to know that it's an option.
Steaming the milk in the jug allows you to texture it how you like it

i have one of these machines i have not used the milk frother basically i reckon it does need cleaning daily when using hot milk , i use a duralit milk frother which is easy wipe clean around £45 really quick & Easy clean for the milk ie A smooth non-stick interior makes for very easy cleaning
http://www.go-electrical.co.uk/dualit-84145-milk-frother-black.html?gclid=CM_GzJ7V68ACFQsKwwod0qkAGw

the machine works great but seems to quickly use up the beans especially if you have it on double shot , i like strong coffee expresso actually the strong coffee option seems to come out stronger than the double shot option but not actually sure you need to experiment with diff beans etc

Wow, a coffee machine that is worth more than my car!oO

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the machine posted and this one http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/our-products/hot-drinks-machines/coffee-machines/TES50129RW.html?source=search

Apart from the colour and the price difference, i would prefer it in black but if that's the only difference between the two i'd rather save the extra money!

only looked briefly but the main part the ceramic grinder is the same it differs on the milk frother it seems this one does not suck in cold milk
it seems to have mentioned some "aroma concept "in the description maybe if you have a john lewis nearby they can show you differences

All, this code is not only for the coffee machine but can be applied to the whole site I believe.
Could it be 40% OFF everything?

I rang Bosch and asked them the difference between the two and they told me the latte version is the superior model and the price difference was due to "supply and demand"

If only it was plastic, it wouldn't be so full of rust!oO

Great deal, but scared to buy it after reading the reviews on JL site.
Even though I would not use the frother usually actually.
Still waiting for Gaggia Classic deal, so if anyone sees one under £200, then please let me know

Anybody else having trouble with their order? I ordered the coffee machine and the brita water filters. I received the water filters on Saturday and the coffee machine is still waiting for collection from bosch according to the courier. I rang Bosch who said there wasn't a coffee machine on the order although I have a confirmation email and a bank balance showing there was! Speaking to customer service is like speaking to a 10yr old child who haven't a clue! They rang back and told my partner that the missing brita water filters will be with me on Thursday.........arghhhhhhhhhh!!!

No but its the fact that i ordered the coffee machine and filters together and only the filters turned up, i then placed a separate order for a milk container which has also turned up. I had an order dispatched email for the coffee machine yesterday also with Yodel and also waiting to be collected at milton keynes but i contacted Yodel to tell them i am away for a couple of days and to see if i could change delivery address but i was told they don't have anything on their system regarding the order. I then contacted Bosch who said that there isn't a coffee machine on the order............all a bit puzzling!

*edit* i ordered on the 19th

Sorry to hear about your trouble endgame. My yodel tracking only shows "arrived Hatfield terminal" and was never updated beyond that, despite the machine having arrived at my place safely. The "you were out" card they left me the previous day also had a reference on it that wasn't recognised by the system, but they tried again the following day. Could be a yodel issue but not impressed by Bosch not knowing where your order is.

Hope your machine shows up soon and keep us posted.

Yodel are rubbish, I tried to use express delivery (Royal Mail) but the option wasn't there. I'm sat with my filters, beans, new mugs (latte and espresso) swish milk container, which by the way is worth getting and no machine to use them with

Hopefully an error on Yodels behalf but not sure as nobody seems to realise I've actually ordered a coffee machine

Try using the tracking number directly on yodel.co.uk homepage (you will need despatch number and post code). When I click the link in my despatch email mine is still "awaiting coll." But if I track directly from the homepage it says: delivery by 25th Sep and it has 3 events, the latest being:

Despatched from service centre Hatfield terminal.

I ordered on 20/09 at 21:30.

Thanks for this. After seeing a few video reviews and reading about both, I also thought the latte version is superior with its frothing system and lcd display; and I couldn't understand the price difference.

It is very strange though...
