Spin speed that low they don't list it?

1200 spin......7kg wash load
Great price for a good brand. If I understand previous advice correctly it's a 'real' Bosch too (apparently the door handle shape is the giveaway). Ours isn't a 'real' one but it's good anyway.

A Bosch at Beko prices has to be good!

I have been doing some research into 'real' Bosch's recently (i.e. Bosch washing machines made in Germany, instead of Spain, Poland or China) and i'm not so sure this door handle design advice still stands. Perhaps it was correct about Bosch models a number of years ago, but I dont think its right now.

This washer is part of Bosch's 'Advantixx' range, which is 'one up' from their bottom end 'Classixx' range which is definitely not made in Germany. Bosch says Advantixx is part of their "added value range" and both ranges look very similar except the Advantixx range feature a small LCD screen and a slightly bigger drum.

Further up the price scale you have the mid-range 'Exxcel' and premium 'Logixx' washers, and from what I have read online Bosch's premium washers are still made in Germany, so presumably that means at least the Logixx range is manufactured there.

I'm not sure where the Exxcel range is manufactured, but I did notice something. Bosch and Siemens are now both part of the same group, and apparently all Siemens washers are made in Germany in the old Bosch factory, and if you look at Siemens washers you can see that they all feature a 'circle' pattern on the sides of the washers:-
siemens-home.co.uk/our…tml?filter=freestanding-washing-machines~1048619

This circle pattern is also present on the Bosch Exxcel and Logixx washers, but the Classixx and Advantixx have straight vertical lines on the sides:-
bosch-home.co.uk/our…tml?filter=freestanding~1168049
This leads me to presume that the Classix and Advantixx ranges are not manufactured in Germany, and that the Exxcel and Logixx washers probably are manufactured in Germany. I could be completely wrong of course (If anybody knows for certain which models are made where please post!)

I dont want to come across as elitist, since a washer is a washer, and technically all Bosch washers are designed in Germany, so all of them 'should' be of equivalent design/build quality...but who knows?

I havent voted either way as this is still a good deal, but in my opinion the following would have been a better deal for an Exxcel range washer at the same price after vouchers/cashback:-

Unfortunately its just expired today, but it might be worth keeping an eye on it to see if Comet puts the price back down.

Don't worry about spin speed - spin performance rating is what matters. A larger drum will give better drying at the same speed - ever been on one of those fairground attractions?
i bought this about 2 week back..nice washing machine
With 3.5% back from Quidco! Topcashback is 3.53% cashbach. HTH
I'll take a look in a while. Thank you.
Currently looking for a new washer, can any comment on if this would be a comparible machine appliancesonline.co.uk/pro…spx also has 2 years warranty but is slightly cheaper
DIL bought this last week. Very happy with service from Laskeys - named delivery day, deliverymen rang an hour before arrival. Original discount code had expired but Advisor on the Customer Helpline put a differnt code on for her.

Very pleased with machine so far. 1 hour for a "Speed Perfect" 40 degree cotton wash, seems good quality and cleans well.

good possative words,,I am wondering if you could maybe help,,i notice this machine is pretty deep,,do you know if the given 59cm are the actully depth, like including the door closed as that sticks out,,im wondering also is does the lid over hang the rear of the machine if that makes sense.
thanks
Now up to £318, just missed this price as it was in my basket last night came back to do it this morning and it had gone up
i ended up buying this but from comet with the 10% voucher last week,as i had some gift card money i needed to use up, came yesterday its not a bad washer,a lot more heavy than my last old hotpoint.not to loud, just hope i made the right choice instead of grabbing a beko.

Anyone who has this can you comfirm if the machine doesnt/does fill water up to the glass on the first wash.

Im using,40Oc-cotton-speed perfect-auaplus.

its only on the firat wash, the clothes are soaked in the machine but the water level doesnt seem to hit the glass if you know what I mean, but it is filling ok from the top

On the rinse it does fill quite high,to an inch or so up the glass.

Modern washing machines use much less water than older ones, which also saves a lot of electricity as the extra water doesn't have to be heated. They use a recirculating pump which takes water from the sump and fires it in a jet onto the clothes, meaning not only that the clothes do not have to be under water, but also that a large amount of water (and powder) doesn't sit in the sump contributing nothing. If you look and listen carefully you should be able to see the water jet and hear that pump at certain times during the wash and rinse cycles.

Thanks, thats eased me,,I thought for a min I had a duff machine,I put it on the same wash with nothing in it,and it does fill say 2" high in the drum, obviously the cothes soak it up.

I seen the top jet at the beggining fill up a little,Ill look out for it doing it during a cycle,,im just used to being able to see visable water whilst the clothes are going round coming from an old 12yr machine

Thanks for the help
