I have a different model and have the exact same problem. It is next to the fridge and I'm always brushing the pause button when I go for a beer, which annoys the wife. The solution is for the wife to get my beer I suppose.
Will site let anyone apply LKA10 code and then the RECYCLE15 code also?? Checkout implies space for one code only?
Excellent quality machine. Really good price for a BOSCH 1400rpm Spin. Voted hot.
Sister-in-law has a similar machine and also complains about its overly sensitive 'buttons'. Good price though.

(Spec. states it takes over 3 hrs for a standard 40 degree wash and 3hrs 35mins for a 60 wash! Seriously? )

There is a "Speed Perfect" button which shortens the wash time.

I thought the HUKD consensus was that Bosch washing machines nowadays are rubbish, and not the mark of quality like they once were?

They're not rubbish but they aren't anything like they used to be.

great quality washer
We had one of these - in general a great WM. Especially the "15 minute" quick wash.

We got the older model Bosch Exxcel WAQ28460GBwhich this supersedes.

We've had it 4½ years and it's been absolutely perfect.

Yes, a number of the cycles are long and can be adjusted to be even longer to save energy (and maybe water?).

The quick washes work great too though.

Great deal and a good brand for washers, my Bosch classixx has lasted 10 years and still going strong

I think all brands are made cheaper nowadays and so quality will be poorer, but I'd sooner buy this than a hotpoint in any case.
Which is better Bosch, Samsung or Lg?
I'm thinking of buying a series 8 Bosch mm washing machine.

I've been looking into brands in order to purchase a washer dryer. From what I have read Samsung and LG tend to give 5 year warranties via registration on several products at the moment. As to which brand is better between the two it basically seems to be if you get lucky with a machine or not. Well that and how you use it also plays a part. Bosch machines seem to have 2 years warranty without any free extension. So basically I think it working out the life cost in regards to warranty length and also the yearly cost for similar spec machines.

Power and water consumption seem to be fairly similar. It depends what cycle they use for the power and water calculations and what you are likely to use.

Also be aware of the dimensions of the machines. They can vary with some being deeper than others making some stick out a lot further from under worktops.
