Absolute nightmare firm currys. After waiting in all day waiting for a delivery on Monday I rang customer services to be told they had knocked and nobody was home, absolute lies as I was in all day. Item got rearranged for a Friday delivery, the drivers turned up nice and prompt, only thing was they didn't have the washing machine with them!!! The item is apparently out of stock till 15th Nov but nobody told us. Spent an hour back in store today getting a refund. Would never use this joke firm again

Just what I am looking for. Thanks

get a hearing aid..

Might be worth waiting for Quidco to offer 10% cashback again(they were up until a few days ago) as they often do for Currys washing machines. You will get an extra £40 off then

Thanks for the info Currently 2.5% Quidco so potentially an extra £9.99 off. Il keep an eye out if they increase it to 10% Quidco and I will add it to the description

Thanks

Only has a 1200 spin, 1400 is my choice

Nice machine for the price, have a 1400 only ever run it at 1000 or 1200 ample, heat added

That's ok I should have posted the deal whilst the 10% cash back was available but I forgot lol

Panasonic are running a £100 cashback atm on their top washing machines

Looks like cashback is direct from Bosch, not from Currys and covers selected 'large appliances (cookers/ hobs/ freezers, etc)

Correct, il re-word the title to clarify and yes this model qualifies for £70 cashback, cheers

1200RPM spin though?

My just over 3 year old Bosch washer had faulty bearings in the drum. Usually around £15 a set.

Except Bosch use sealed drums that you can't open up to get at them, instead they expect you to pay £185 for a new drum unit.
Guy at spares place said that Bosch aren't as good as they used to be and that they simply aren't built to repair anymore. You'll get the usual crap insurance offer from Domestic & General - if I remember rightly it cost more for the extra two years cover than the washer did!!

Wouldn't mind if it had been hammered but it gets used 2, maybe 3 times a week.

I bought a £185 Whirlpool instead.

+1 from me. Similar bad experience very recently on what appears to be the stainless steel version of this washer. Curry's call centre were either incompetent or ignorant depending who you spoke to. Complaint letter has also not been replied to as 3 weeks later.

we bought one of these 2 weeks ago , really good machine. very very quiet. washes clothes very well and looks smart. i know we've only had it 2 weeks but so far so good. we've used the very quick 15min wash and the longest wash.....both spot on.

John Lewis have this similar model £379 but with £50 trade-in makes it £329 and comes with free disposal and also get an extra £50 cashback when you buy a Bosch tumble dryer. Looks like the better option to me, with John Lewis' superior customer service.

lol, must be true then, all I know is I have a 1600 spin, if I spin on 1200 the clothes come out wetter than when I opt for 1600, seems simple enough.

Great machine. Got mine a while back at £350 with £50 cash back and a free Bosch steam generator. With £10 quid I cost £290. Really big drum, pleasantly quiet.

Are you for real, I'm not a millionaire!

have purchased a tumbledryer from Currys couple of weeks ago. it was 10% cashabck, but it didn't track. i have placed a second order but it didn't track neither. have to raise a claim, so using quidco with currys may be tricky. use '£30 off £300' with O2 priority instead or together (though quico say if use another discount code it may void quidco cashback), this must bring price down to £300

Do you have a link to the O2 Priority offer so I can check the T&C please, I can then add it to the description. Also would free delivery
still qualify? as presumably the O2 Priority has to be used instore. Also did you try TCB? they have got cashback offer going on washing machine/tumble dryers too.

Thanks for the info

Thats a different model, and the cashback on that is only if you buy a tumble dryer aswel. You can get an extra £50 cashback on top of the £70 with this one too if you buy a tumble dryer, making it £120 cashback for this one.

That's why I wrote similar, not the same. John Lewis offer £50 off when you trade in your old appliance making it £329.

Indeed, it would bring that model to the same price as this but not ideal for first time buyers with no machine to trade in. Also no extra potential cashback from Quidco/TCB with that one.

There is also an O2 priority on this which may help to get an extra £30 off, just checking the T&C now.

From what I can see, you won't get the free delivery using this, so only use this if you can collect. You could try and ask when in store and see if they will still deliver. Not everbody can/wants to collect, but this may help someone (thanks to tissot22, Fien and Sud38)

That may well have been true in the past, alas " Customer Service " at JL has gone rapidly downhill in recent times;

At that price, I might let the Mrs. have one, it'll save her having to go to the river everyday.

Not that great a deal. Basically £165 for each guaranteed year. You can get a John Lewis rebrand of a Electrolux/AEG/Zanussi with 5 year guarantee for only £375 of the same spec which is only £75 per year or £100 a year if you don't go for the extended warranty and just keep with the standard 3 year guarantee at £299.

Yes Bosch are slightly more reliable but not by much statistically and you could be replacing this model in just over 2 years.

I got a Bosch 1400 RPM for a similar price to this after cashback less than a year ago. Still not a bad deal though.

i purchased this in the summer from comet for £349 plus £50 cash back with free steam iron which i ebayed for around £100 .we had previously owned a older bosch machine in the past that lasted 10 years plus with no issues but i regret buying this one. the paint has blistered away just above the powder tray showing the metal. the touch button controls are a nightmare. if i lean over the counter were it is situated i catch the control buttons which so far has entered into timer mode and child lock etc... the 40 degree wash on the old bosch washer was 1hr40min . the 40 degree wash on this machine is nearly 3hrs. not great if you have weekly washing to do.
