Not exactly to everyone's taste, but I've been looking for a reliable combined washing machine / dryer for a while. This is currently a clearance item at John Lewis for £599 incl free delivery (recycle £9, connection £25 if you want it). Next cheapest that I can find anywhere else is £728. I've my hand warmers at the ready!

I only want German manufacturing for something like this! Other makes might be cheaper, but probably inferior based on my research!

In my defense, this is cheap relative to what others are selling this product for Rather than judging the product itself!

AFAIK Bosch is now made cheaply in eastern Europe. Whilst Siemens are still made in Germany.
Same owner but different brands.

Logixx models are made in Germany

I think it varies, but as Louise says I believe the 'better' Bosch models are still German made (which this is). Anyway, you mentioned Samsung, not Siemens! :P

because the Siemens/Bosch won't give a 5 year warranty on washer dryers. yet they will on separates. tells you all you need to know about a combined machine.

Can't argue with that, although my logic (arguably flawed) is to go with the best brand I can afford (Miele out of range). Separates definitely the best, but unfortunately I have to compromise on space and have decided I need the drying option. Always a risk with any purchase, warranty or no warranty Bosch have offered 5 year warranty on these models in the past in the same way that Samsung are at the moment, just not currently.

my Siemens separates came with 5 year warranty's some 9 years ago still going strong without having called engineers.
I need a W/D for a let property so am looking for cheapest with 5 year parts & labour.

Anyone would love a Miele washer dryer for this price, unfortunately they start at about £1000 more! Plus they only come with a 2 year warranty

My Samsung washer drier has had soooo many problems-I would gladly swap it for one of these!

My Brother's both bought a hoover one and it's going great, ones had it for over a year and the other a few months. Is recommend them as they're decently priced wash well and are almost silent. I can't get the model number if your interested

Can get not can't!
