reserved, thanks

It's impressive how they are using this tool to cut paper and cardboard. Much better than using a pair of scissors

Nice price, reserved one.

think the site is fecked

Can't see the point in this product at all. Even for £5 it would be pointless.

i agree seems a waste of money

Yeah completely useless because all carpet fitters these days have moved on to using scissors. ^

Can't beat a decent stanley knife though as long as your not a pussy and give it some welly I find it quite easy to chop up victims Vs scissors alone. This thing is overpriced and just doesn't have the depth of blade for getting through fat thighs. Will take off a pennis in one though so that explains why only women are seen in the marketing photos.

I got caught in a wet paper bag the other day - wish I'd bought one of these.

It will easily cut through your tiny ****

I would buy 2 as the blades are more expensive than the complete item or should i say " Blade " .

Actually I bought one last time around and I used it to cut roof felt. It wasn't exactly knife through butter but it saved me a lot of work.

Ok I have never used it since but for poeple involved in arts and crafts including roof felt fitters it does a job. I would use it next time I fitted a carpet though.

Flombard36 minutes agoReplyReportLikeIgnore #22WTF is a pennis?

It's just something for you to clean your ears with, quite blunt, often needs to be sharpened

Yep..... its the answer to a question no one asked. What a completely pointless powered tool.

Is this a XEO 1 or 2 though as the XEO 1 has been £19.99 for some time ?
Edited by: "renderman" 22nd May 2012

I just checked, the picture on the argos site is a XEO 1, the new one has a safety switch on the underside, not the left hand side.

The XEO 2 was what amazon had on special

Note the red strip over the cutting guard and the lack of a safety switch on the side for the XEO 2

Electric pizza slicer, you say?

how wonderful.

“Remember, you must be circumspect…”

Blimey, tough crowd OP.

I quite like it, but it would only be another tool in the shed, that I drag out for specific jobs - oh wait, thats the same as every other tool in my shed.

Looks good for cutting carpet, I dislike using Stanley knives because they are sharp and scary, and also if you try to go too quick they slide off and your carpet has a nice curve in it !!

The guard though means you can't plunge cut against the carpet when say it is laid up to the wall, you have to feed it in, so less useful I think.

As for the lady cutting cardboard, hardly a good advert is it.

And as for the criticism that it only cuts 6mm, well that covers most laminate flooring, though I do wonder if it has the power to do many cuts through that before running out of juice.

Thanks for the offer OP, and to SECMAN who found the same deal on Amazon.

Most tool adverts show women using it. Even some professional trade tools. To imply even clueless, lightweight, amateurs can use them without getting their hands dirty. Rather sexist, actually.

To late we now know you have a small one

can the cover come us to cut through wheel clamps!

i bought one recently on the amazon lightening stock off-loader. Completely useless for all but a job for scissors....

Works great for carpet.

I was being sarcastic lol. I've never seen a carpet fitter using scissors for their main cuts. This thing surely does have some uses but not many.

Sounds very useful, for those of us with hand co-ordination issues, it could be just what I need. I'm dangerous with scissors so I'll give this a shot, cant be any worse than me trying to scissor cut various household items? surely.....

Thanks OP!

I can't think of any reason why I would ever need this. It should be advertised as a cupboard filler.
