As far as I know only superior things about these to XM3 is call quality?

Comfort as well for most but that's more subjective.
I'm torn between the WH XM3's and the QuietComfort 35 (S2)'s - not even considered these.

These support 2 Bluetooth connections at a time too. Xm3s only have a single connection.

Given I consume audio and calls from laptop and phone that's pretty much a must for me.

These are best of both, available in the market. Loads of comparisons and reviews online.
Personally, waiting to see if XM3 drop price about 200-230 because of ANC and more bass.

Just seen these at £279.99 in Dixons duty free north terminal Gatwick.
Could be helpful if your flying out in the next couple of days.
The call quality on these cans is unparalleled

Agree. You think it won't annoy you, until you've been continually reconnecting for a couple of months.

Depends what you mean by superior. The XM3’s out the box have an over emphasised bass which is a bit like marmite, you either love it or hate it and I’m in the hate side. Yes you can play with an equaliser but why should you need to for accuracy.

A quick Google for equaliser settings and my XM3s sounded perfect 1 minute after switching them on.

I had these and reverted back to my Beats Studio's, the Bose just don't feel snug and kept falling off while lying flat.

Sound quality was pretty good though.
I've no experience personally of the 700s but most reviews say the QC35 are superior, and they're about 100 quid cheaper.

In fact not only the QC35 are £100 cheaper, the Sony MX3 and Sennheiser PXC 550 are also around the same price. The Sennheisers always seem to excluded when talking about the best ANC headphones but they are up there with main two.

After some testing I personally I went for the MX3 in the end but would have been just as happy with the Bose or Sennheisers. You can't really go wrong with any of those 3.
If you are basshead Sony xm3 are so much better
Get in quick at this price - Amazon and John Lewis are price matching a Curry's offer that ended today, so this won't be long until it's back at £299.
I'm gonna be one of those people... Why would you get these over the Sony's?

That's similar to my opinion and the detailed RTings review also shows this. I do appreciate a lot of people like that though.
Reasons to get these over the Sony's - brighter, more neutral sound. I have the Sony's and as someone else mentioned, the bass can be overbearing at times, though it is easily EQ'd through the app. Another reason is connecting to multiple devices - the Sony's have to be repaired with each device every time you want to swap - not as annoying as it sounds, but having the convenience of hot swapping between paired devices would be nice. Lastly, mic quality - the Sony's have some of the worst quality mics for calls I have ever heard in a bluetooth headset, quite frankly unacceptable for a headphone with an RRP of £329.

Having said all of that, I love my XM3's and use them daily, but there are compelling reasons to choose a competitor over the Sony's.

You can't EQ with LDAC can you or did they work around it? I hate that.

I don’t think you can from what I’ve read - I’m not sure though , I use them with iOS and my Windows laptop. You also can’t EQ with the DSEE HX setting on.
