    Gunwharf Quays is in Portsmouth
great price heat added... shame so far away from me
I wish it was near me but would cost £100 in petrol
Have the 2.1 system and paid £249 over a year ago.Well made decent sound but just like beats overpriced for what they are.Still decent deal.
How much do these go for in Outlets like Bicester?
You could maybe ring the other outlets to see if also have them (if they are closer)

That is some deal those speakers are fantastic.
Do anyof them post to your door?
Good speakers but you are paying for the name really. Can do better for £150 sound quality wise but I must admit the build and design of these is very attractive too.

    Good work
Heat added, someone did mention in the other post for companion that the bose shop in the Trafford centre has them new for £165.
This is the right price range for these. Very decent sound at a decent price. But would never pay full whack for Bose.

so what speakers would you suggest for best sound quality at that price??
    better to buy this one..
Microlab M910 2.1 Speaker System - 45 Watt RMS . It has both optical and stereo input. So you can use it with your phone and smart tv as well.
The sound is superb.. much better than overpriced Bose 2.1. I bought the microlab few months back from Dabs. price was £48.
    Hot deal.
Bose = Buy, Other, Sound, Equipment

At least thats what ive been told anyways.
I find it depressing how many people moan on here.. anyway I went to charming Gunwharf Quays for the first time listened to them in store, they sounded great and for £150 this is a great deal.
    Good price.

There are some good alternatives to these if you can't get hold of them for this price:
    - Creative T3 (or T4) - For comparisons between the bose - try this link: http://www.hardwarezone.com/feature-aural-showdown-21-multimedia-speakers-shootout/conclusion-30
    - Aego M (I've heard these are better than the Companion 3's but not sure how they stand up against the 5's)
    - Corsair SP2500 (Extremely loud, well regarded speakers but they are ugly imo)

For a much cheaper alternative, you could try the Harmon Kardon soundsticks or get a set of bookshelf speakers (even second hand!) and a £20-£30 t-amp.

+1 on the sp2500. They are can be had for £150 or less on Amazon sometimes and are hard to beat at that price.
I've heard the Bose system in a store and was blown away by the sound quality. Just didn't expect such a big and crisp sound from these. But then I was equally impressed by Microlab FC330 2.1 Pc speaker system From here I purchased for a fraction of the Bose's price. Choice is yours...

You must be having a laugh... Harmon Karmon Soundsticks sound like tin cans in comparison to these!!
No Highs, No Lows, Buy BOSE.
You will not be disappointed. These are fabulous! Excellent quality sound. Bass will blow your walls off! Although with the Bass control to knobs you're walls will stay intact! lol
If you use a laptop or a phone or a tablet for gaming and music, i recommend these: amazon.co.uk/Cre…ers

What a brilliant and helpful post, thank you and well done.
Oh look a Bose deal has been posted and suddenly audio "experts" have come out of the woodwork saying what a waste of money this will be.

Great sounding piece of kit at a fantastic price, shame I'd pay more in petrol to get there...

I'm with you on this. So many vote cold because they hate a product, but if it's what you are looking for then a deal's a deal.
Guys. Is there an option with these to send music to them via Bluetooth? Say for example by connecting a Bluetooth dongle or something? Would be good if I didn't have to turn the Mac on every time and could use them as stand alone speakers too, with a wireless option all the better!
Really good quality speakers, had these during college days. Its a big bargain for £150. Would recommend.

Good for £150 I think but no way for £330. Heat added
