Reduced for silver colour only. RRP at £249.95 so a bargain. A friend of mine has this and he has been praising it.
Built in Alexa, and it seems it works with Google Assistant as well. Not sure about Siri compatibility though.
TCB for Amazon is a bit temperamental so I'm not including it here, but worth a try.

Sonos One. Fantastic speaker and good ecosystem.
Is this going to be any better than my google home full size unit?

Same question, how does this compare to the Sonos One Gen 2?

Any thoughts welcome...

Personally I would base it more of what features you require rather than strictly sound quality. To my ears they are pretty much comparable. If you want multi room then Sonos all the way. If you need any of the features that only the Bose has then you’re obviously restricted to that. We have had both in the house, I like Sonos so gifted the Bose to my mum. Reason being she likes the remote and she likes the preset buttons as she doesn’t have to mess about with voice or apps, and Bluetooth sometimes comes in handy. She uses it as a solo speaker (no multi room) and it works well for her.

Probably worth adding the Sonos can be stereo paired too which sounds better. The Bose current,y cannot I believe.

Amazon has a brand new Alexa speaker coming out - Echo Studio amazon.co.uk/ama…8-6

Could be worth waiting for Black Friday for a deal on it as it is released on teh 7th November. Supposed to be a better sounding speaker and they've added Dolby Atmos to it for whatever that could be worth on an indivdual speaker! Although it can be paired with others.

Commenting in case some people are not aware. I have no idea how it will compare to other smart speakers around the same price.

I actually looked this up. Am I right in thinking this line is discontinued now even though they seem to do well in what Hifi?

Sad That this is too tied into Apple Music.
In case anyone wonder about speaker, I ordered mine last night and it should come today. Will report back tonight.

Yup that’s right. You can get them new at bargain prices but I would only recommend them as an MP3 speaker, multi room is I bit hit or miss.

I have two Pure Jongo T2. I don't rate them - the What HiFi review is accurate in that the top end is thin and lacks presence.

Yeah, I wouldn’t argue with that.
You can try this out in Currys, it sounds really good but the Soundlink Micro version sounds just as good (if you only need Bluetooth) but doesn't go as loud.
