I will be honest and say that I have taken that approach before. And had problems. Then had to request a chargeback. Had the retailer email me with legal threats and bailiffs. It was a nightmare. And concerns about what the thug of a retailer would do to me/home/family. After that I have proactively avoided the cheapest retailer with poor online feedback.

As a follow up to the above, I then paid more and bought the same product via a more expensive retailer but one with great online feedback. Unfortunately the item then developed a different fault. But the second retailer bent over backwards to resolve the issue.

With the first retailer, it took 4 months for everything to settle and a phone call to the police to stop him harassing me. I was without an usable item in the interim. Second retailer sorted it within a week.

So yes, thanks for the reference to the cheaper item; but the customer feedback needs to be taken into account.

Nice find. Heat from me.
The QC35 is the second pair of Bose headphones I own. They loose points on build quality that one gets for what they charge...
Essentially, they are not Sennheisers!
Also, although they fold quite neatly, they come in quite a large cumbersome case that they must be kept in due to the the earlier mentioned issue.
Appreciate your sharing. Love my QC35s :-)

Don't think about using these outside in any wind. The noise cancelling function on these and my Sony 1000 ABN are on line if you want to check wind issues. Indoors they're great.
Cold, available for £264 from Martin Dawes with £15 off new customer discount.

Their online feedback with regards to after sales support is not at all confidence inspiring. Few reviews on trust pilot are pretty poor as well.

Exceptional AV seem to have exceptional feedback on trust pilot. Link. I havent actually used either retailer.

I guess it depends on what your needs are, but I would certainly pay a bit more and purchase from the OP's link. Martin Dawes seem ok if you buy and have no product issues, but after sales seems awful. Somewhat like eglobal and simply electronics. Some folk only care about the headline price, not about authenticity and after sales support.

Heat from me, for posting a good price from a reliable retailer.

Martin Dawes, might not have the name they once had. However, they used to be one of the biggest high street retailers for electrical good in the UK. Over the years buying things from TV's to Hifi's, if any developed a fault, they had no issues dealing with them. Thats past experience, I can't say what they are like now.

This headset is incredibly comfortable and the sound is fantastic
Any chance that a highstreet store (like John Lewis) would price match this?
Use these headphone all the time, paid £300 for mine and was well worth it
Terrific headphones, if anyone does buy them though be sure not to upgrade to the latest firmware for the time being,as it causes as issue with the charging.

I got them to price match rgbdirect for £279, so worth a shot!
Great sound quality, extremely comfortable and in this weather, they make great ear muffs too! My only gripe is there seems to be about a 0.25 second delay when using this with my phone. It doesn't sound like much but when you watch a video, you can really see the lag! I have the updated firmware too. Does anyone else have this issue?
Hot from me. I love my pair after upgrading from the mk1s. Nice feature is the mobile app which allows you to turn off the noise cancelling when you're in a quiet environment or need to hear background noise (baby monitor for example).

I get a delay on my pc but not on my TV. It's weird. Using the wire fixes it but for the price you'd like it to be perfect every time

For watching videos can adjust audio delay in VLC Player. Doesn't fix the 'phones but at least it removes a problem.
Anyone use these in gym to drown out their music?

It’s Martin Dawes mate, not the Cali Cartel

With the QC35 when it’s windy I just use the app to switch the noise cancelling to ‘medium - result: slightly more outside noise but no effect from the wind.

The quality of music from Bose headphones is excellent. I had the AE2W Bluetooth headphones and the Bluetooth module has died on me within 2 years of light use. It’s been a struggle to find a replacement module as I can’t find any on Bose site. Fortunately for me wireless has now become wired headphones. So beware of their wireless technology.

Contact Bose, tell them you expected better from them based on price and reputation, see what they say. Worst case, you still have to use wired wireless headphones. Best case, they sort you out with a fix/replacement.

It's always worth a try with these things
£49.99 for shipping to northern Ireland... completely crazy
Just got a pair for £269 in duty free Singapore, heat from me! Theyre amazing for canceling the airplane noise
I just got John Lewis to price match Weybridge Audio at £269 and they replied straight away and agreed. As they have a physical store, they will price match. I tried to post a deal for the Weybridge price but the HUKD mods didn’t like it for some reason!
With price match in store as i have £85 of JL gift cards and can obtain £179 though a work scheme at 5% off. Do i have to pay full and get the difference back or show them the email at the till?
Good spot, always wanted some of these, pricey, but I fly and train it a lot, so sod it.

Sounds logical till you have a crazy guy calling you up and threatening legal action. Even though you know it is probably an empty threat, it does disturb and upset your family. As I said, in my case I actually had to call the police and report harassment before the retailer would stop emailing/calling me. I have never used Martin Dawes, but the reviews would put me off buying from them.

Anyway I digress. This is a good deal, yes?
Just purchased from John Lewis in York - they price matched ElectricShop (£269). electricshop.com/bos…ack
Seems to be a general sale from Bose as there are lots of places with this price - sadly out of stock at John Lewis and not reduced at Amazon (yet).

Had these in my hand at the airport on Friday but managed to resist as I have the first version. Cant quite justify the spend- although to be fair I bought those about 8 years ago and they are still going strong so Ive definitely got my money's worth!

Thanks, you just saved me the hassle of placing an order and finding that out. It amazes me how stupid these companies are when delivering to NI. Its like we’re asking them to deliver to Outer Mongolia not a part of the uk that even Royal Mail can manage to do deliveries to for the same price as the mainland. They’re just doing themselves out of sales
Ordered...Never used this company before so will let everyone know the outcome service wise.
Ordered. Delivered nbd. Not opened yet. But a colleague ordered and was fine!
Would love amazon or John Lewis to match this. Just would like a better retail guarantee. I know your contract is with bose for any faults, but to know a retailer isn't going to be out of business in a year when something goes wrong is just nicer for such a high value item. Ehhh or maybe I'm just looking for excuses not to splash the cash here!
