£25 for a cable!!

I know. Crazy price. I'm pretty sure there's identical 3rd party cables though

Is there a significant difference in sound quality between q25 and q35? I find q25 a better product cause it is powered by AAA batteries.

Wireless.
Mic and controls built into headphones.
Google Assistsnt built in.
Has the ability for its firmware to be updated.
Better noise cancellation.

I couldn't tell a difference in sound quality. I'm sure there is though. I only tried these in store

Noise cancelling is the same, it's just wireless. Some reviewers have said the wired ones sound better.

Wired will always sound better than wifi/Bluetooth due to the required compression of the sound for sending. Depending on how much of an audiophile you are, that may or may not make much of a difference

Bought a pair of these for £179 from QVC at the weekend.. thought that was a good price.. Gutted..

..yep and the 35 you can stick a wire in too. Although I can't tell any difference with or without the wire. I just use the wire for the Switch (sort that out Nintendo).

That's not entirely true. Apt-x and moreover, LDAC (baked into Android 8.0, thank you Sony) have bit rates that are higher than the top end of mp3 encoding (384kbps and 990 kbps respectively I think). I have about 8 pairs of headphones and several are wired and are inferior in every way to the Sony MDR1000X that are my daily driver for commuting.

Do note however, that apt-X doesn't appear to be present on Apple devices, nor will LDAC be. If you're into your sound and want to go wireless (and once you do go wireless, you don't look back) then Android is your friend.

I was so tempted to get the mdr1000x but got put off with a lot of people complaining about the build quality and cracking/snapping issues. Have you had any issues? New version (wh-1000xm2) is out and has supposedly fixed those.

I had mine for 13 months and only yesterday - in response to all this talk - did I examine them very careful and found a hair line crack on the left arm by the hinge. I suspect that would have got worse, so the retailer very kindly reimbursed the full purchase price and I thus availed myself of the new pair (with a 2 year warranty). Who knows if they'll have the same issue.

But if you go hunting for build quality problems with Bose, you'll find just as many.

I have used two different Bose Iphone model headphones with Android phones, the volume keys do not work, but I have found that you can pause (long press) and skip tracks (two short presses) using the central button with certain Android apps. e.g. Poweramp, BBC Radio player. Other apps pauses but did not resume.
