Key Features of the Bose QuietComfort 35 ii

  • Adaptable Noise Cancellation – Bose have fine tuned the already fairly advanced noise cancellation found in the QC 25 and 35, adding three different settings for users to play around with. Choose total cancellation to focus intently on what you are doing, or opt for a little ambient noise, handy for navigating traffic or office situations where you may want to hear speech from co-workers or telephones.
  • Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant Compatibility – With the QC 35 II, Bose has well and truly entered the smart era. These headphones are designed with work with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing users to ask questions about whatever they like, queue up tracks, curate playlists, and manage incoming or outgoing phone calls with ease. Smart assistance can be turned on or off at the click of a button on the 35 II casing, so it's not always there listening in the background.
  • Premium Build Quality – Bose is renowned for the quality of its physical products, so it's not only the internal architecture which shines with the Bose Quietcomfort 35 II. The headphone casing is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, ensuring long lifetimes, while nylon elements are glass-filled, ensuring flexibility and strength in equal measure. Additionally, the headbands have Alcantara coverings (which is usually found in premium sports cars), while the synthetic leather earpads offer all-day listening that won't chafe or feel uncomfortable.

Anyone think these will get lower than this? And do you think PC world will match this price? (I'd rather get them from there)
Has anyone owned these and the Sony Wh-1000xM3? Overall which would be worth buying?

I would pay more to buy from John Lewis and get delivered with their after sales compared to the cowboys at Currys and they will also pricematch for 28 days after so if they are cheaper in the Jan sales you get money back.
Comes up as £249 when added to basket - anybody else seeing £199 in basket?

Awesome, thanks for the info, I'll go with john Lewis.
Good person to watch who reviews a lot off headphones is somone called jimsreviewroom on youtube.
I have them, very good noise cancelling. I got them in £220 a year ago and that was brilliant deal. This is definitely excellent deal.

Which sonys are you comparing them with?
I have these. They’re brilliant but DONT UPDATE THEM, it ruins the noise cancelling.
jimlad2128/11/2019 21:57

What's the call quality like on them ?

Very good, i use them for all my office calls and music. No issues in last 1 yr.
All comes down to preference, I've had both, I chose the Bose as I found the Noise Cancellation to be better, I also found them lighter, they had less head clamp and I didn't sweat as much in them. I also like the Bose much more for listening to Podcasts and instrumental music... the Sony's are probably great for Pop... I dunno I don't listen to that, but I didn't find them to be better than the Bose for my preference.

As for build quality, I've had mine for three years now listening every day for 9 hours apart from sunday. The Bose only just started to develop a fault on the left speaker, it sounds like it's rattling, so something has come loose I guess. They're easy to take apart from what I've seen... but I'm looking for another pair as I cannot be bothered.

I bought the M3s earlier in the year, I just didn't think they were as good, so I sent them back. I owned the M2's and the Hinge broke within a couple months, but apparently they fixed all the issues in the M3s, which is why I gave them a shot... but I cannot speak for build quality. Reviewers really annoy me as they confuse design with build quality, you cannot judge until you've used the device for years.

I also think Bose support their headphones amazingly with firmware, I still get updates three years on.... I cannot speak for Sony however.

They released an update that allows for different levels of noise cancellation, maybe yours defaulted to medium or something? It really gave new life to mine as it meant I could use them on my Bicycle. Before the Noise cancellation would pick up wind noise, but now you can lower it and it stops that.

The XM3s is the moment Sony overtook Bose in NC now as well as sound quality. If they drop sub £200 as well BF, game over.
Before anyone buys any crap from Bose, maybe this worth have a read: community.bose.com/t5/…820

TL;DR: There's a massive outcry going on for half year already because Bose secretly nerfed the noise cancelling level on QC35 Gen1 and Gen2 to make way for NC700 (sacastically NC700 encountered another outcry on firmware). Still no solution.

Other than that, it's a great NC headphone, as long as firmware is not updated.
Go Sony XM3 there amazing took me 6 month to decide. sound, feel comfort is awesome

Oh ok that's not the update I'm thinking of, that seems like a bug...
The Sony XM3s are phenomenal, haven't tried these though. Seems like a good deal.
