    Great price, apparently the SE are essentially the same as the 45 but come with a soft case instead of the 45’s hard case.

    Great price. I’ve gone through many headphones (Sony, Sennheiser, B&O, B&W, Hifiman, and a few others) but I always defer back to QC series for the comfort. Other headphones may have slightly better audio, but the Bose is always leaps and bounds more comfortable than others. I’m currently trying the B&O HX and just patiently waiting for my QC45 replacement to arrive so I can get rid of these.

    Totally, Sennheiser and B&O have the best sound quality, but I just cannot stand the fit, fatigue sets in after half an hour or so.

    I'm looking for new headphones.
    My requirements in order of priority are:
    Price no higher than £250
    Comfort for prolonged use (upwards of 2 hours at a time)
    Noise Cancelling
    Sound Quality

    Can I assume these / qc45 meet those requirements better than immediate rivals?

    I've had a pair of QC35 II (which are the similar, much older model) for 5+ years and wear them up to 8 hours a day. They're extremely comfortable and the noise cancelling is very good. The battery life is inexplicably still as good as day one after 5 years. I bought a second pair of QC35 IIs at a discount when the model was discontinued in 2021, as I just love these headphones, but have not yet had reason to crack the new pair open as the originals are still going strong.

    I bought these specifically for long haul flights, they’re the most comfortable headphones I’ve owned. They connect to two devices at once so I can switch seamlessly from my phone to my tablet. 

    When the 45s first came out many reviews complained that the sound had too much treble and not enough bass and there was no EQ. So Bose released an EQ, meaning you can tweak it yourself, I have and it sounds superb. Great deal!

    These are exactly the same as QC 45, minus the hard case. Headphones themselves will be identified as QuietComfort 45 headphones in displays and Owner’s guide- Great find

    I've seen a few comments here and there about the 45s not allowing you to turn off the Noise Cancelling or you can only otherwise put them in active mode?

    Does anybody know exactly what the Noise Cancelling options are like on the SE/45s in simple terms?
