Not the world’s best at

that price but still stands out for clarity as per dialogue .

The Universal remote that comes with this can also get handy.
Has been cheaper in the past, but this is a relatively good price Today.

This annoys the hell out of me! Why do most European countries get big discounts on electrical stuff and gaming yet we get naff all most of the time in the UK!
For the money I'd rather pay the extra few quid for a Q Acoustic M4 or one of the Orbitsound bars

I believe is the UK Coys that are fixing high prices. I can't see why manufacturers would sell it cheaper to Europeans and not us.
Look at guarantees too, all electrical goods purchased in Germany come free 2yrs guarantee but UK is just 1yr.

Maybe someone that knows better here should educate us.

Currently 50% OFF on Orbitsound website. I have not used or heard any Orbitsound speakers though.
These are great. I bought two a few weeks a go when they were £99. But will worth this price too.

The 2 year is for all shops here too, it’s a European thing. It’s just that we like to put buyers off by advertising the guarantee that the manufacturer provides instead because we are more unscrupulous

No it isn't.

Consumer Rights Act gives more powers than a 2 year warranty, but there's no mandatory 2 year guarantee within the UK.

Well I simplify it a bit for the member. Shops in the eu need to give at least 2 years, regardless of whether the manufacturer only gives 1 year. Being in the eu that was the minimum Uk shops had to offer. However, guess what, in the Uk we went further and for example in England we say shops should take responsibility for goods like this being expected to last at least 5 years.

I once asked at an Apple shop if the Mac had 1 year or 2 year guarantee and he said 5 years if you buy from Apple direct. He knew his stuff

I’ll give you another example, this time of a TV, another electrical item, maybe even more fragile than this speaker. A member was having problems with a TV and there was a debate with John Lewis as to whether they were responsible, as the seller. Cut a long story short, John Lewis took responsibility as they were the seller, and agreed a pro rata refund of the TV. They had to agree the reasonable length of time the TV would be expected to last and they agreed on 10 years and refunded according to that amount.
Great price considering used ones sell for similar price on eBay
