I bought one a coupe of weeks ago would recommend!

I got one when comet was closing down. Was really pleasantly surprised by how good the sound is would definitely recommend

Great price for this! Surprisingly loud for the size.

We got the leather one when they first came out, love it and recommend. This is a good price!

Good deal - except the new Soundlink Mini blows this away - better sound, more power, is about 1/3 size & costs £170

So what we're looking at here is old tech...

That's what I though when I had a demo at Bose store in Leeds, I though the mini has more bass and power.

From that point on I been eyeing up the soundlink mini, I missed the Amazon deal of £139.99, So I'm still waiting for another deal to pop up

also missed the soundlink mini, Friend at work has just brought his in and if I hadn`t see him switch it on I wouldn`t believe the sound that came out of such a small unit. Sounds better than most old portable boom boxes so im also waiting for another deal on the mini

The sound dock 3 is now out which has the newer iPhone connection these. Will have the original connection. They are really good and still worth the money.

Only disadvantage for me personally is Bose don't have Apt-X Bluetooth & I'm trying to stick with the BT version 4 now as thats the latest also supports Apt-X BT devices like my HTC 1X which i connect to my Monster micro BT apt x speaker. I believe there is no going back from Apt-X once you've heard it!

Good deal but what we need is a good deal (£130 good) on the soundlink mini.... When's it going to happen? Let's be having you! I need more stuff!

Tried to buy a Soundtouch and their customer service direct was pitiful. No matter how good I wouldn't give it houseroom. Good price but if bose service us as bad for repairs etc, good luck.

Can it blow a candle out like the demos they do on qvc?

You can get the Loewe Speaker 2go for this price, it's a much better speaker.

Whilst a good deal, Bose have rendered 90% of their docks obselete with the Mini so couldn't recommend!

Awesome find. I have the version one and it's incredible.

A false economy with this deal. Buy the mini instead for a cheaper price and superior performance.

I have this and it can be a bit of a pain to connect with my various platform devices (ios/android and wp8). I think it is mostly a pain with my ipad.

The sound is great and the battery life is good too, but I don't consider it to be very portable. I mean, it is fine to move from room to room, but I wouldn't pack it to take with me out of the house. Hence, I am hoping Santa has taken the numerous hints and might be bringing me the Soundlink mini. I too was blown away when I discovered it was this little box filling a shop with music at Gatwick Airport. Amazing!

would you recommend this one or the Mini in terms of sound quality.
I don't mind the price difference

I haven't tried them together side by side, so couldn't say for sure. They have the same speaker components in - just the bigger one has more of them (plus a bigger battery to drive them) so I would expect that to fill a bigger room. I would say that the sound quality is the same (!) but if you needed to get it loud then maybe the bigger model would be the one to go for. It depends where / how you imagined you would use it. I am hoping to have both and then decide!
