Faux leather, mine lasted for about 3 years before I needed to replace them, but cost me £5 for a good set.

The sound is pretty damn great, for just walking around it's pretty much perfect, I use it for movies mainly, pairs with android yes, can be a tad annoying if pairing it with more than 3 devices on device list at a time, but 1-2 works perfectly fine.

Pretty sure you will have to go through the site and not the app.

Also there will be conversion fees unless you have a fee free card.

I cant say with 100% certainty, but the item will most probably be shipped from a UK warehouse if they have stock here anyway, returning it shouldn't be an issue I should think.

You return items exactly the same way as here in the UK. Just print the return labels as you print it normally with our Amazon. This is a reply from Amazon Germany CS when I asked the question about if returns are free:

Good evening

Thank you for your email and inquiry.

You are correct, you simply print the label and return it back to Germany at our costs.
At time you may be asked to pay the return cost upfront, however you then send us the receipt and we refund the costs back to you.

I hope this email finds you well and I wish you a great day and amazing week further.

That’s actually great (pairing).I have the supposedly “best” NC headphones that everyone worships blindly here on this website (Sony 1000XM3) and the pairing is just painful.only 1 device and with certain devices such as my TV I have to re-pair bluetooth every time.
had Bose QC35 before and it was night and day better in terms of pairing.

if you don’t need NC,these Bose are great specially at this price worth every penny.top quality.

Sony xm3 worship widespread everywhere in media, left other cans in shadows that may boast better build and sound, BT pairing, call management or smart features; still it can't be argued that they're very good, with very few if any weaknesses - or nearly all reviews/people's experiences are wrong

I own them.they are very good but not perfect as some want to pretend.
bluetooth pairing, comfort, and controls are some of the things I found Bose QC35 did much better.
When it asks do you want to pay in GBP or Euros what is the best one to go for?

Euros if you have fee-free card, like Starling, Revolut, Halifax Clarity etc - disable Amazon currency converter

Depends. If you use fee free card then go for Euros. If not then it depends from your bank foreign transaction fees but it should be +/- £2 difference.

No product is perfect, Bose lags behind in other areas, in the end you have to prioritise things you wanna have, and things you have to give up, just like everything - though tech race seems unrelenting towards 'perfection'...I'm sure Sony has been working a lot last 2 years on hardware improvements for their flagship over-ears...

On a seperate note could anyone suggest the best place to get a USB C cable to use with my phone to drag music from my pc,I don't know if there is much difference in quality,I don't want to spend too much if I can help it

I'm very picky about sound.
last year I bought most of the highest rated wireless headphones available in search for the "perfect" one compared them side by side at home extensively.

3 Senheisers
2 Bang & Olufsens
3 Sony (XM2,XM3 and a cheaper one I can't remember the model now but it was complete rubbish)
Bose QC 35 II
Bowers & Wilkins P7 & PX
Beats Solo 3

all things considered,The Bose QC35 II & Sony XM3 came on top
in the end I kept the Sony, but it was a difficult decision, without any doubt there were things that Bose did better than Sony and I miss them every day.

Bose doesn't lag behind in "other areas"only one area..the only area it lagged behind XM3 (and not XM2) was sound quality.in every other area it was better than Sony.

noise cancellation of both were equal.comfort of Bose was WAY better.never got hot.Sony does get hot every time after 1 hour.
touch controls of Sony are not as straightforward and easy as Bose simple physical buttons.Sony are larger..and bluetooth pairing of Bose was definitely superior.it could register multiple devices,Sony only one.

I can't wait for Bose to make QC35 Mark 3 so I can try and if sound quality is improved then Sony will go

Fair enough, others say Sony app is better, codec support all-encompassing, touch controls definitely the future, etc - what is clear, is that QC35 have become classic wireless cans.

Debates about sound signature are endless, it depends on what kind of music you listen to, and the particular qualities of your ears, or lack thereof... even though I don't have 1st hand experience of these two cans, I might find them both a bit commercial sound-wise, and gravitate to more 'audiophile' brands like B&W, Sennheiser or AT.

That said, I have Bose/Sony in high regard too, I have QC25 and waiting for Sony deal, can't wait to hear what the fuss is all about...

Sony's app is better but I don't remember the last time I used it.I wanted headphones for both TV watching (including music) and Spotify on my phone.the App won't be of any use anywhere other than on phone.same applies to codec support, yes on paper Sony supports newer codec but only if used on Android phones.I use an iPhone and a Samsung QLED TV neither support those codecs.

but I agree sound is very subjective.the whole point of my first post was that it's all subjective, people prefer different sound signature and different products just like they prefer different taste of beer, food etc people can't just watch Youtube reviews and read some specs on internet and buy something then come and say this thing is the best and expect others to follow.

ps if you like more neutral, audiophile sound as opposed to "coloured","tuned" sound then neither Bose or Sony will satisfy you.definitely not Sony XM3 because it's much more bassy and V shaped than Bose.for that more neutral sound Senhheiser is the way to go.B&W are also great.but not others.

Good thing about Sony is that it caters both to Android and iPhone users with AAC support, whereas Bose, B&O, Jabra etc stick to AAC only, with great results I have to say, but theoretically missing out on more advanced formats.

In reality, engineers' work with drivers as important as bt codec, I'm amazed on a nearly-daily basis with qualities of AAC, supported by most Android flagships. But obviously I'd pick LDAC or aptX HD if given a chance...

Buttom line is buy and experience few top headphones
for yourself ,ignore reviews and specs, codec, numbers etc..you are going yo use them not that reviewer..
the easiest and most “ethical” way (what I did) is to buy used/refurbished headphones (so you can easily return them and also don’t feel bad) from different retailers, compare them at home with your setup and preferred genres, taking your time..then decide which is best for you, then return them and buy the “chosen” one brand new.

I like reading reviews, folks that write them are pretty knowledgeable usually, you learn a lot before buying. I don't believe in 'chosen one' thing in tech world, as things constantly changing, new products in market all the time, I kinda believe in 'chosen few at any one time'; regarding ethics, only the likes of Parrot have shown some regard for the environment, trying to make lasting, wireless products with replaceable batteries. Now House of Marley using recycled materials, well that's something else, otherwise too many products with limited lives.

When I buy something, I try not to return it - kind of put myself in retailer's shoes. I find unethical returning on regular basis.
Not many retailers doing used headphones, as far as I know, probably for hygienic reasons, that's understandable.
