Hmm, CeX grade B is hit or miss, could be filthy and no shops open to return it to. I'd advise waiting a bit as they are absolutely awful if you need to return something via online.

Also soundlink 2 for another 15 is worth it in my opinion
Sound link 2 allows you to take phone calls ( I have no 1 and miss this capability)
Cool extractor fan
I'd give that a miss from cex ,and grade b

Just got this from amazon and tried Bluetooth and it’s awful
Crackling non stop at least with iPhone
I’d give this a go. Can return if not happy. Not sure the taking calls option is worth it. Who rings people up these days?

But alas oos..

Really? I’ve just returned something back to them today via their Royal Mail freepost method

Is it tracked? Last time I returned something to them by post (albeit 2 years ago) it took them 3 weeks to process and lots of emails that were taking them 2-3 days to answer - they are still complete imbeciles when it comes to replying to emails too. In the end I promised myself if I was buying from CeX I would only return at a shop as they don’t try and stop you, my local store is actually run by a pretty switched on team so I can’t really fault them.

I was given a receipt by the post office with a barcode number on it so would guess it’s tracked. First time ever bought something from CEX

Just use RM tracking site then and hound them once it’s been delivered. What was wrong with the item you returned?

Thanks for the heads up. I bought an Apple airport express hoping to share my old parallel port printer via a usb-parallel lead. Unfortunately wouldn’t detect my printer no matter what I tried. The printer works with same cable plugged directly into laptop

You should be fine, sounds broken and they won't know how to test it anyway. If it was something like an expensive phone I'd expect them to argue the toss. I think a USB-parallel lead requires software/drivers which is why the AirPort can't use it - if you haven't found a solution yet, a Raspberry Pi acting as a network bridge would probably work.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don’t know anything about Raspberry Pi’s. Been meaning to learn about them for years. Suppose it’s a good time now. Although I could also update my printer! It’s just that I don’t really do a great deal of printing at home and got loads of toner left for my current one

Now is a great time to learn! And if you upgrade the printer later you can use the Pi for something else. Pi as a print server is a fairly common objective:

Do you know roughly how much I’m looking at to get it up and running and also is it difficult to set up? Willing to buy used or old version as currently I just need it to share a printer

I would return it. There is obviously something wrong with the speaker if your phone doesn't have Bluetooth issues with other devices.
I have four of the Bose Soundlink Mini, I and II, in various locations with absolutely no connection issues.

It connects fine it’s just crackling when I use it to make a phone call.
Yours ?
It plays music fine too
Ah...if it's only calls that has the issue then I am not so confident of my last comment. I don't take calls through speakers.
Bose customer service is excellent, it may be worth getting in touch with them.
Good luck, hope you get it resolved
