Good reviews and good sound from such a compact device.

Believe it can be used whilst charging which was an important feature for me.

Edit: Also it is an Amazon approved device to work with the Echo Dot.

Great find, it's the same innards as the soundlink mini which has excellent sound for something so small. Some will say other speakers are far superior/cheaper and there's an assumption that people only buy Bose for the brand which in some cases is true but in other cases is wrong as this product is a decent item and this is a very decent price.
ordered !!! bargain thankyou £99 on argos n amazon
Gets good reviews......
Love our soundlink mini, got one of the kids the anker version and most can't tell the difference.
Go on then, it'd be rude not to :-)
Hot. But going to.save £69.95 by not buying this.
Ordered ,as one says rude not to at that price.;)
Great spot. Gone for the blue one.
How come it doesn't say how powerful it is ?
Not even in the specs sheet
My wife and I think these are great so heat from me at that price.

No Bose products do
This or soundlink mini 2 ?? this has great reviews though.. the only feature missing vis-a-vis soundlink mini is the feature to receive calls on speaker... otherwise looks damn good..

Mini 2. Greater battery life and the mini 2 has two opposing bass speakers to add more depth.
Would be wrong not order have some heat player
I assume that they are going to release the Colour II soon. As is out in the US. But great price. tempted to get one for use with Echo dot
Can these be linked together? So I can get sound from 2+ of them at the same time from the same source?
On fire. was waiting for the price drop. Ordered.

the name sort of suggests it should but according to the Q&A's on Amazon website they sadly don't, unless anyone can confirm otherwise?

For an extra ton they'd better be able to do more than just that.
It's got auxiliary input so good for plugging in Chromecast too I guess

Any idea this or JBL flip 3?
Only the Blue version is available now. I already have two bluetooth portable speakers so won't be buying but this is a decent price for a Bose. Hot for anyone who wants decent sound quality and doesn't mind their portable speaker not having a speakerphone or any ipx rating.

It's kind of what you want. You are paying for the name with Bose but the JBL is a nicer size, waterproof, better more balanced sound and stereo output too - I'd take the JBL Flip 3 or UE Boom over this. But some people must have the brand.

through chromcast audio though?

Personally, I would go for the Flip 3. I have one and like it a lot. It has a nice balanced sound with good bass (though a little EQ tweaking never hurts). It is also a lot more versatile in that it is IPX4 splashproof rated with a rugged build quality, can play up to 10 hours between battery charges, has a speakerphone and you can use the JBL connect app for true stereo pairing with another Flip 3 or 'party mode' with other 'JBL connect' enabled speakers. With the latest firmware update, it also has 'Google Now' (Android) and 'Siri' (iOS) 'push-to-talk' voice integration so once paired to your WiFi enabled mobile phone, you can tell it to play specific songs/artists/playlists, provide weather forecasts, answer any 'what is..?', 'when is..?', who is..?' question etc. Instead of saying "Ok, Google" or "Hey Siri" just hold down the play/pause button and wait for it to beep, then ask away.

These are great speakers, I've bought 3 of these now - tried to get one at Xmas but not in stock anywhere. Fantastic price!

Not as far as I can tell, certainly the soundlink mini can't (which is a real shame) and this is the same innards I believe
There is a common perception that Bose is one of the best audio brands but it is very average if that. Harman Kardon, Cambridge Audio, Bowers and Wilkins, Bang & Olufsen are so much better in terms of sound quality.
Seems to be sold out at Bose - Same price and in stock at prcdirect.co.uk/cat…ACK. In Black and White. 3.8% quidco as well
Just a note: The SoundLink Colour 2 is out in the US, and the series 1 is now on sale in the UK.

Not to discount this one. Still a great speaker.

I get what your saying and agree to a certain extent but are you comparing like for like products in a similar price range? There are always going to be superior products if you can afford them. Most of those brands have products at least double the price and I'd be pretty nervy throwing them into a suitcase or taking them to a beach etc

That's the premium you pay for high sound quality over a marketing ploy.
Back up to £99, tbh prefer my sounddocks, which I've gotten a Bluetooth adaptor for. Better base

The 2 adds water resistance, a nicer design and a silicone exterior (rather than a cheap plastic one) - looks like it is worth waiting for at the moment if those things add value for a particular buyer.
