It has a much deeper and more full sound. This is the one that always impressed me when testing them side by side. I'm no expert, so I would have to take the view it is subjective based on your tastes and requirements.

Unfortunately not. I would rather buy soundlink mini 2 secondhand one, but that's only my opinion.

I have this speaker and a sound touch 20. Whilst this doesn't go as loud as the st20 (which is 4 times the size), the sound is just as good. I would say an essential purchase is the drop on charging pad for it. I wouldn't be without mine, very portable and excellent sound.

Compared both these speakers yesterday in the Bose store.. the soundlink mini 2 sounded a lot more 'directional' whereas the Revolve seemed to fill the room from everywhere. If your budget can stretch to it then grab the Revolve. The Bose store Trafford Centre was selling factory refurb soundlink for £139 also.

Yeh, I agree. The rich sound of the Revolve has stuck with me more than any other portable speaker I've ever listened to. So much so, I felt compelled to order one, even though I have Amazon Echos all over the house.

Hi I have a mini link 2, revolve and just recently a ue megaboom and I would say the megaboom is slightly better than the mini link. The revolve in my opinion is the weaker of them. The megaboom is in warehouse deals and can be taken in the shower :-)

Out of interest, what song did the staff play on the speakers?

Several different demo songs, all the same demo on the soundlink 2, colour link 2, revolve and revolve +. Definitely preferred the revolve. Couldn't determine too much difference between revolve and revolve + to be honest. Every time I go in Currys I crank up the revolve. Now I can pack it in as I've ordered one at last.

- this is the one of them.

If anyone owns the Revolve can you tell me what the bass is like? I read its not all that strong, particularly at high volumes.

I listen to pretty much EDM and chart music (which is also mostly bass heavy), not any other genres really.

This is my concern but was only after leaving the store did I think about it.. Both salesmen demo'd the speakers to different customers by playing Emeli Sandé - Read All About It, a not very bass heavy, virtually acoustic-like track. Also I did hear a touch of distortion but I would put that down to the sheer volume the Revolve was at to compensate for being in a noisy, open plan store.

I've listened to this in store and the distortion on the highs was disappointing. The plus has a much cleaner sound in my opinion if you can afford the extra.

It could be better but being a 360 degree speaker, it is difficult to produce heavy bass for it's size. You can however put it in a corner and it should crack up the bass as it bounces off the corner walls fine.
