The macros aren't great to be honest..

Only 10g protein and 9g Sugar per bar..
I've seen these about in health shops and even some supermarkets and have never seen the appeal unless someone really likes the taste.

the macros are nothing special at all.

and the amazingly info must be wrong. it says one serving has just over 100 calories and 23g protein...but one gram of protein has 4 kcalories...

meh...
just checked the official.website which has correct macros. they're nothing special so if please don't be mislead by the health claims...whilst theres nothing inherently bad or wrong about these...theres also nothing especially healthy about them. their website also seems to demonise saturated fats which says it all...nuff said
Looks like bird feed.

It supposed to be high in carbohydrates.

It supposed to be high in carbohydrates.

Because sugar constitutes good quality, complex carbs...............

You seem to be focusing on the macros, as another poster has also mentioned too. Whilst I agree with you these aren't great macros if you are watching your macro intake (it is high in sugars and fats relatively speaking). However I think the audience this is intended for it is a healthier option than some alternative snacks.

There are other factors too, this is gluten free, this is high in fibre (contains bran, oats and seeds). It is high in Vitamin E and has no artificial colours and preservatives.

Therefore please don't try and equate "healthy" with macros. No one has claimed them to be "healthy". They are nutritious and have other benefits as I have mentioned.

If you are watching your macros may I suggest Grenade carb-killa bars. They are great, but you'll be paying a lot more than 69p for one

i can't argue with anything you've said really and agree. although the website does tout it's health benefits and I can't argue with that either

these are a better snack compared to chocolates and biscuits and definitely much more densely packed with micronutrients and a better range of micronutrients. but at the same time a better alternative doesn't mean optimal. but then again we aren't all aiming for optimal and we are human beings after all.

anyway I agree with you and nutrition is just too complicated to get into on HUKD haha. but these can definitely be included in a healthy diet and there's nothing inherently wrong with them so apologies if u gave off the wrong impression.
These are better in my opinion:

dolphinfitness.co.uk/en/…225

Per 75g Flapjack:
Protein: 18 g
Carbohydrate: 38 g
of which Sugars: 4.8 g
Fat: 7 g
Fibre: 2.9 g

and they work out to 62p per bar..

The cnp flapjacks are OK. Try the nxt choc orange flavour for an alternative healthy protein snack that tastes far better than the cnp one or if you want a less healthy protein snack go for the delicous vyomax protein flapjacks.
on face value the macros arent great, but cacao nibs and sunflower seeds are superfoods due to minerals and antioxidants within them. none of these in cnp bars which have hydrolysed collagen in them, the cheapest protein source ie. leftovers from meat production!
Thanks OP I like the sound of them I'm giving them a try
They'll definitely be better for me than the crisps, sweets and chocolate I'm always snacking on

Heads up

Usually dispatched within 2 - 3 weeks.

got them today. the cacao orange ones are now down to £11 odd. I just ate one which stopped me from going to get a Snickers! macros are better than a standard chocolate bar or whatever so it's a little treat for me, not a staple!
