Popped into Asda (Kirkton Dundee) for something for lunch, had a look for the 20 quid Bowmore and it was reduced to 15!

Can't remember the last time a bottle of malt was all cheap. LOADS left in the Kirkton Dundee store, maybe 30 or more bottles.

Bet that was a good lunch.

well I left with about a hundred metres of wrapping paper at 25p a roll, 60 meat balls for 2.50, 10 tubes of fruit pastels for 25p each and sold mixed nuts for 20p. Oh and some ham for my sandwich

I think the only thing not reduced was the heavy duty bags for life i had to buy as I didn't go in with one

Superb deal. Bought a bottle when it was £20. Will be checking my local Asda next time I'm in.

Not on the website yet, has anyone found it anywhere else?

I picked up a bottle in Sunderland yesterday as well as the 30 year old Tasgall

Anyone tried this against the Bowmore Darkest 15yr old?

Reviews weren't great on Master of Malt, but at £15 it will be hard to resist (I managed to hold back at £20)!

...and yes, I understand the 15 year old is over twice, now three times, the price.

Just picked up a bottle from Scunthorpe, they had plenty left. It's delicious, nicely balanced peat with sherry sweetness - bollards to the reviews, I'm obviously not sophisticated.

Agreed. Both my wife and I saw the bells in with it last night thought it was delicious too. We do both favour Islay malts usually, so perhaps that helped, but I'm happy for this to sit between my Laphroig and her Lagavulin.

Picked up a bottle this afternoon with the Tasgall 30yr. The Bowmore was still marked as £20, but scanned at £15.

It's hard\unfair (I guess) to compare against the Darkest 15yr as they are in different leagues. If you like this and see the Darkest on offer, pick a bottle up - It's richer, lingers for longer and even feels silkier in the mouth The 9yr for the money is rather good though!

ASDA in Preston Lancashire today was selling this Bowmore 9 year old malt at £15, got me a bottle instead of the usual Grants standard whisky.

Enjoy! It's much nicer than Grants, that's my cooking whisky - as in the one I use as an ingredient

Phoned around some stores in the Glasgow area and no one had stock.
Anyone confirm any Scottish stores that have stock of this?

None in the Dundee stores now (well 2 of them, I've not been to the third). It's been 3 weeks though, I expect they have sold out now..

Plenty stock In Asda Swinton Shopping Centre, Manchester for £15
Just picked up a bottle. Approx 30 remaining on Special Clearance at the end of the Booze aisle

Great to hear it's still alive. I bought, erm, 4 bottles of it as I really liked the taste
