I've added a few Vax Blade Deals (24V, 32V, even the 22.2V SlimVac) in recent days as my sister is desperate for a cordless vacuum (refurbs, mind you). I know very little about them but it's strange how the feedback I've been reading is either enthusiasm or complete disdain. Whether it's quality control or lack of user maintenance, it's hard to tell.

It's been a learning curve with these - the Pro and Ultra models have different tools but with the same main unit in different colours. From what I'm told, the higher the Voltage, the longer the run time and suction power (I think).

Will see how sis gets on tomorrow (24 hour courier delivery)! She wants the 40V Blade 2, bit pricey for her at the moment. She went for the 32V Vax Blade Ultra.

Hey @louiselouise - I agree, reviews can have your head spinning Main criteria for me is - Go with a solid brand, get a good guarantee period. Choose carefully and choose a good retailer, I read an awful lot of reviews and treat them with caution, I can speak from knowledge with Vax as I've owned one in my time. A good seller IMO.

The Vax warranty is excellent, at least it has been for my sister - they even sent her a brand new machine a few months ago when her (corded upright) Air Reach stopped working (before that they sent a brush head unit!). You'd think warranty would be a one-time-only arrangement, but they were very generous. Though it does suggest longevity may be a problem.

I'd like to ensure her cordless upright is well-maintained, as they lose suction otherwise, have to get watching a few Youtube videos.

I really liked my Vax (corded) upright but it was an older model that didn't have variable suction control - which meant rugs and some carpets were a problem. It wasn't suitable for the Vax-workaround adapter either, so I passed it on to my niece and bought a Shark.

Yes, I got a Vax reach with a 5 year warranty, still working well (bought in 2012). I empty after each use and clean all filters each month. I also have a Miele, which I do the same with. Also have a Dyson V6 handheld.

Like maccy, should I have needed a new vacuum I'd have bought this - FWIW this model Vax won the 'Good Housekeeping Award 2017'

Judging from Amazon reviews I would say quality control. Suction and battery. Hit or miss.
Anyone know how this 24V model would compare to the 32V or 40V ones? Is the difference worth the price premium?
I bought this for the office where I work and never use it. It is really underpowered, there's a disappointing amount of suction.
It’s the Vax 2 blade max on the tv advert reviews are fantastic 3 hour charge 45 min running time but £249 a bit steep for me
I have one of these and I paid £5 extra for the tool kit. Heat added

Yep! I'm getting it

Your purchase is covered by a 12 months Direct Vacuums return to base guarantee* which means if during the first 12 months of purchase the vacuum develops a fault simply return the product to us and we will repair it and return it to you free of charge.

To claim on your guarantee all you need to do is contact us via email or phone with the problem.

*Guarantee includes mechanical faults, but does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear (such as worn out brushes, filters, belts or batteries), wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use other than as recommended by the manufacturer, failure to follow manufacturer's instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out by yourself or any 3rd party without prior approval from Direct-Vacuums in writing.
Ohh, enjoy. Direct Vacuums are a good seller
Cordless vacuums are useless, hardly any suction just moves dirt around

I posted this 32V yesterday also the 32V Pro and Ultra model for the same price, £89.99 - added pictures of the tools supplied for each (Direct Vacuums/eBay) hotukdeals.com/dea…729 as well as other Vax cordless upright models over previous days.

Not sure about warranty but I'd assume you'll be okay. I managed to get six year warranty cover for two Amazon Warehouse-bought Vax-es.

Worth checking out the 32v one from argos Ebay outlet. I picked it up for £121 last week. Great piece of kit. Seems to be a return with some light use

Maybe in your experience, sorry 'bout that. However, if that were the case people wouldn't buy them, and they do. Lots of them Thanks for your comment @TheRatedSeller
Is this any better than the Cordless Air Lift which has such terrible suction?
I’ve had 3 vax, all broke within 6 months and returned

Thanks, I've gone for this one.
Other than the power, is this 32v version the same as the 24v one in this deal?
I think this was the same price new in B&M in-store the other day
