WHat the hell just happened here?
Great price, I wouldn't hesitate if I hadn't got 4 vacuums ish (of different sorts, including a wet/dry cleaner) already and even better with the free tool kit

ZanyAngel you speak as if you work as a customer service agent for HUKD. By no means I meant to disrespect, it's nice...just saying

You can get the Blade Pro Toolkit from Direct Vacuums as well (assume it fits all Blade varieties). "New Other" and £18.99. Spotted it earlier and added it to the thread I made the other day. Brings the 32V to around £10 more than this 24V - though, of course, the Direct Vacuums' one is a refurb. I'll update my thread about warranty and how my sister finds her new cordless.

Not sure if she'd want this kit as well, might wait for an ebay discount code promo. But I think the 32V is a bit bulkier, judging by ibaisaic's review for the 32V Blade Ultra (and Pro Kit) on Youtube. The hose extender may come in handy for the car, etc.

These are relatively good when fresh out of the box but quickly get caked in that super fine dust. I found it quite fiddly to maintain and the brush bar doesn't pop out for easy removal of all the long hair that invariably gets stuck around the brush. Overall not bad a second cleaner but not powerful enough to really give carpets a proper vacuum.

I use scissors to cut any hair/tangling matter around the brush, pulls out a treat. Saves you trying to get the brush bar out, regular maintenance of the filters keeps the suction on mine as good as ever and I have animals that molt

It's got a puny 150W motor, that's why its rubbish. And that's the 32V version. Absolutely pathetic power output even for cordless.

Just for information, 24v and 32v blade have the same suction power,it's just the run time that's different.

Added tools are a bonus.

And forget direct-vaccums on eBay , appalling company for after sales.
Go for this deal direct from Vax eBay.

Blade is decent for hard floors and very short pile carpet. It's a little weighty though top end.

Heat added
I have a v32 that's now coming up 2 years old. The big points are:
- it's powerful enough, you really need to use the brushbar for decent cleaning
- there's less power than a corded so things that make a vacuum lose suction will have a greater effect, really large dirt particles, hair in the brushbar, a full dust container and unwashed filters all will affect suction.
- the dust container is small and needs emptying a lot. Dust and hair can get around the side of the filter and be harder to get out.

I notice a massive performance improvement from opening brush bar (3 screws) and cutting out hair. I also notice a good performance increase by washing the filters (a black foam and a white fabric disc), they can be done in warm water then left to fully dry before putting back.

The 32v or 24v is just like a Tesla the higher battery capacity gives more power and better runtime. Being able to start hoovering by pressing a button without needing to plug in and drag cables is a convenience that is hard to explain how nice it is. Little spill? No effort to hoover.

You'd think warranty would be a one-time-only arrangement, but they were very generous. Though it does suggest longevity may be a problem.I'd like to ensure her cordless upright is well-maintained, as they lose suction otherwise, have to get watching a few Youtube videos.I really liked my Vax (corded) upright but it was an older model that didn't have variable suction control - which meant rugs and some carpets were a problem. It wasn't suitable for the Vax-workaround adapter either, so I passed it on to my niece and bought a Shark.

Got to agree. Our Vax blade had problems 18 months into the warranty. A wheel fell off and the catch came loose on the dust compartment. I sent an email to vax with the serial number and details of the fault. I got a reply back within an hour saying a brand new vacuum will be dispatched that same day on next day delivery. No questions asked.

That's good service in my book!
does it suck good ?
Is this much better than this?

Ordered one to give it a try, for those awkward places my Dyson big ball isn't so easy to use in. Thanks OP.
These are great for the first couple of weeks. After that they're awful. Would highly recommend spending the extra bit of £ and getting a better quality one. Fortunately mine was a christmas present from work
I bought one of these last year. It was absolutely useless. Your had to clean the filter everytime you used it or it didn't pick up, especially larger items like grit. I ended buying a refurbished Dyson V8. Although not perfect it is 10x better then the Vax blade.

Please please all save your money for a Dyson.

I got the 32v one from direct vacuums. The first 3!!!! Wouldn't even charge.
Got embarrassing but eventually had one that works.

Thus far the pipe blocks quite often as the point where it enters the dirt holder is quite a tight angle and clogs.

The convelulted pipe on the brush bar will get a split on it. Look on eBay people sell used ones and they all split in the same bit. Last week I bought a Dyson pipe and took it all apart and replaced it for £4 and an hour of my time.

Last night the wife showed me it and the connector between pipe and hoover bit has cracked open. Super glue and insulation tape now holding that in place.

She has gone on about hating it and wanting a Dyson and Ultimately she is right. We had a Vax Air 3 corded and that was a joke, I gave them another chance with this and regret it. Our corded Dyson has been perfect for 3 years now never needing any fixing.

And they don't need a cupboard to hide them in 😁
Just recieved my 32v and everything looks like it's brand new.i can't see any marks. It's got 4 floor tools. The bit it hangs from is not anywhere as good as my Dyson cordless, its basically a hook with a bag to put your bits in. Now to charge it....🙏

I've got a Vax cordless, unsure of model but bought it a couple years back, rubbish really.
An update on my 32v Vax, totally carp! It's a joke compared to my Dyson, it looks cheap too.

It doesn't compare to the Dyson at all. I thought more power would be better. Another one bites the dust 😁

Mine arrived.
Does not charge.
Returning through ebay.
Vax refuse to send a replacement.
Not a great experience.
Having to also dance to their ' returns' protocols. A whole day wasted.
problem with Vax cordless vacuum cleaners is the rechargeable battery only lasts about 2 years then it's over £50 for a replacement battery

I hadnt read that bobo...my error..
Ebay Vax refused to replace so i guess they have changed their processes since your order given you had 3 replacements? I am now expected to sit and wait for a whole day (9am to 7pm) to receive their courier to collect. All a bit of a farce really.
* note Vax HQ arent interested in Ebay Vax. Silos.
Buyer beware i guess.

The Dyson V6 has a 350W motor. The Vax Blade has a 150W motor. Obviously the dyson is much better.

I ordered one of these vax hoovers and it sounds like it's scraping along the floor all the time. It developed a fault within a few days where as soon as you turn it off it everything you've just hoovered up comes back out of the motorhead all over the floor. Am returning it but they failed to collect the return today

I've actually ordered the dyson v6 animal last Friday which came today and wow its a completely different animal. It's smooth and actually more quiet and does a much better job overall
As mentioned above. I ordered one.. It failed within a few days. Requested a return and they failed to collect today after they arranged collection for today and I waited in all day. Got in touch with ebay and they said I can demand a different return (either a credit and I pay for the return using that or they send me a return label where I can drop the parcel off)
We'll see what vax says tomorrow morning. Anyone else had return issues?
