It will drop to £200, no worries. Maybe in summer. I will get one at that price.

Keep an eye for deals like this with a game with a little more resale value. I got the Starwars one a couple of months back, got £32 for the Star Wars game and a couple of quid for the Live code, so ended up about £215 all in.

I know the new model is on its way but I guess how long you're willing to wait for a price drop probably correlates to when you're planning to buy the new console. I'm happy with the One X, I've got a huge backlog to play, the console is quieter and the improved graphics performance was worth it for me.
These prices are crazy considering we are in Next Gen year.
Bargain game console and a 4k player

Microsoft's position isn't helped by the fact that they are launching a new console without any games made specifically for it, seems absolutely daft. As a result people will be more inclined to stick with what they already have or see the X as the more cost effective option for the next 1 to 2 years - for this reason I think the X will maintain its value for a while yet. I'm not into the whole Xbox vs PlayStation debate thing, but I do think they MS are (again) playing into Sony's hands by releasing a new generation console without any exclusive games for it.

People still buy new PCs even though there are never any exclusive games for them, the new games will run at higher resolution and frame rates and have better graphics while still being able to play all xbox one and backwards compatible games

Halo is being released on the Xbox seX and will be using its full power, Only MS games have to have a release that works on the current machines 3rd parties do Not.
They are hardly playing into Sony's hands by giving support to the current Xbox models on sale at least people know they will get new games for at least a year or more.

Sony are delaying their announcements whilst still selling their current consoles, it is very likely that they will also support the current consoles for up to 2 years, In an investor's meeting last March Sony predicts the PS4 will continue as the main driver for profitability and engagement until 2022

I was referring to Microsoft handing Sony a head set in the next console generation, as they have done so before.

The next iteration of the Xbox just feels a bit like an expensive Game Pass machine at this point.

I don't think it'll be that straightforward. The XSX will play games in 4k/60fps and far better graphics and ray tracing. Where as the X1 versions of the same games will feature none of that. I think the digital foundry comparisons will be a massive night and day difference between the 2, resulting in people not really wanting to carry on playing the games on older hardware. Those that do, the option is there for them. Also, based on history, since when has launch games and games within the first year or 2 really been any better than previous gen games anyway? They are always glorified previous gen games until around year 2-3 when developers get to grips with the hardware. Xbox isn't giving Sony the advantage it appears they are
If the console was faulty and we had to return it, would we be liable to pay the postage to send it back to France? Or do they just give you a Royal Mail label to send it to a UK warehouse instead?

From experience (and bearing in mind this is a long time ago, but I noticed someone posting similar about the Spanish Amazon recently ), they may not have English-speaking reps at the regional Amazon sites.

I tried to return my faulty Wii to Amazon Germany without success as my limited school-boy GCSE German wasn't enough to arrange a return. As the warranty was pan-European, it went to Nintendo UK for repair.

So, tl;dr, I think you'd be able to get a repair from Microsoft in the UK but if you wanted a return to Amazon, you'd probably A) need to speak French and B) be liable for return costs.

Yes, I still have a 360 backlog even...

Did u also read that Series X will be backward AND forward compatible? The first batch of games released on the new machine will also work on Xbox One S/X. It seems MS want it to be like PC gaming where the better spec has a better experience, but everyone can run the games with lower gfx settings.

I had wondered if that may be the case but hadn't seen anything documented as yet, guess that's just been released?

There are thousands of exclusive games for PCs, what are you on about?
no exclusive games for a new PC
PCs play all PC games
new PCs are just better versions of old PCs
