Just seen 12" XFire boys bike for less than the price of a helmet. - £8
and the 16" version for £12.

This was at Horwich Tesco.

These are not off road mountain bikes and I realise that you get what you pay for, but for a nipper to learn to ride on in the park I think they would be fine.

... and the dumb thing is - I didn't.

I'd bought a Raleigh one from Amazon for my son's Christmas present and totally forgot about putting one away for nephew's birthday present.

Was just thinking the same thing

Oh damn my local tescos dont have things like bikes, i desperatly want one as well!! My 7yr old was only one who didnt get a bike for xmas now he is wishing he did!

direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

When I look at them they show as £17.50 online.

Is this deal instore only?

Quite a few of the stores I have visited have mountains of bikes (no pun intended)

keep checking online, the bike pictured in the op is currently reduced from £35.00 to £17.50..chances are it might get reduced further if its a clearance line.

I will do, its the 16" one im after thats at £25 so going to keep watching and hoping!

whats the actual brand of this bike? seems interesting at this price! defo hot

Yes the online price is far higher than the store I was in today.

It was an xfire, not sure of make but almost certainly not specialized or trek:whistling:

It may also be store specific, I only noticed it in one store.

And here the girls 16" version: direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx
Can anyone tell me if they have seen this one in tesco and how much? It's £25 online. Still very good price though. I might buy one for my girl for xmas next year. This price is still wonderful at £25, but if you have seen instore for less let us know. Thanks

Lol!
In the specification for that 16" pink one it says Gender: Boys
I think best not take that too literally or else there will be some red faced young lads riding along hiding behind high walls and parked cars and stuff.

am not back to work till monday, will have a look then and pm you if you want.

i have just managed to get the lost from Romford, what a deal it is a great litte bike my son will be so happy

thanks for the deal

Thanks nil, always a worry when you post on here about something that may not be i. available anywhere else, or ii. not to everyone's taste.

I was in my local store earlier and got a price check. It was £29.99 :-(

May be a regional thing - my wife bought one today at Chorley for £12.50 ( the 16" version) no price on shelf.

They had various other models at different prices.

That bike is definitely available in store and i'm fairly sure I saw it for around £14 but don't quote me on that.

Could someone who has got the bike post a picture of the 16inch version as the tesco website only shows the 14inch bike

Cheers

I saw them on Friday so they may have gone now.

They were on an end aisle nearest the wall with the books on.

Try ringing Chorley, they had a few left yesterday.

I would think a 16inch would be to small for a 7yr old,ww got a 20inch for my grandson just before his 7th birthday and rode it straight away

just been to the one in doncaster and they got a 16" one for £12.50, just written on the box in biro, should of bought that really to sell, but no 12" for my little boy. great find thow hot for me!

These bikes are still hanging around! The Borehamwood store had loads un-priced up on a high shelf. Boys and Girls 12" bikes. I got a SA to price check them and she couldn't believe it when they came up at £8.75! I picked one of each up for my sons school raffle.

Thanks OP - I was going to buy this online this morning, but thought I would take a chance in store first - picked up the 16" boys bike in Swindon Tesco Extra - £12.75 - Great! They have one more in store if anyone is interested, and they have a couple of the girls 16" ones too - couldn't see any 12" ones left. Heat and rep left for OP. Cheers
