B&Q 50 piece tool kit back to £10 click and collect

46
Found 20th Jan
This has been on and offer for a few weeks before Christmas- don’t expect fantastic quality tools but for a tenner its not bad and worth it to keep in the shed for ad hoc jobs.

Words of caution:-
Tool police - as I say the tools are not expected to be top of range so please move on.

The B&Q website can be rubbish at best (I ordered ok via their app)

These were £8 before Christmas

Kit Kats were 9p before I left school - If I had a time machine I'd go back and get some of those as well...
"Tool police" ....
As you say, for a tenner it's a cracking deal for the once a year shelf or the odd Ikea cupboard.

Good for folks starting out for emergencies.
Stock in Yate
Wait folks... What's B&Q up to here? The photo on the site isn't the same Forge Steel set offered previously.

Ther product description doesn't say Forge Steel nor does the bag. The items look near indentical but could be complete rubbish quality.

Has B&Q brought in a cheap clone? :-O

Head over to the Screwfix site to see the original Forge Steel product. You can play spot the difference ;-) For a start the hammer is missing!

Which picture? B&Q or Screwfix? Hammer or no hammer?

The B&Q one looks more Fisher Price! :-O

B&Q no hammer. Fisher Price maybe. Worth it for a tenner for occasional quick jobs? In my opinion yes. Want something more robust for regular use? Get something better. For £10 I wasn’t expecting forged steel
Worth it just for peace of mind, carrying it around in the car.

Stock at Roundhill Way, Bolton
33p TopCashBack.

I order 2 sets, tracking at 67p.
Great price
As usual no stock in my area
Got 2 from Hemel store- click and collect in 1 hour
Tool bag any good?
Tool police???

Is Forge Steel stuff worth cloning!?! Don't get me wrong, I've got some of their gear and it's done pretty well (and it is at least well finished), but it's nothing special (I just see it as another generic brand name - maybe I'm not giving it enough credit)?

Ordered on click n collect at Newcastle store. It will add to the 12 items I've picking up from screwfix today
On clearance. Don't tell the wife.😁

Totally agree, why bother to clone it, unless there is some basic level of "nothing special" quality there in the Forge Steel branded stuff that isn't there in these new cheaper clones, hence they're debadged to not further devalue the Forge Steel brand.

Those may have been Forge Steel?
Just saved a tenner. Nearest stock is over 100 miles away. Would have stuck it in the car but no matter. Hot enough for those who can get the set.

They'd be well past their 'best before' date though! 🤣

On paper yes but if they came back here in the time machine they'd be ok... or would they still be best before that date in that they'd taste different and wouldn't suit modern tastes? My heads melted thinking about it, going to have a lie down.
I'll get it just in case or it'll gather dust

I found a marathon a couple of years ago and couldn't resist a bite.. still alive
I paid 4 pound a few week back😊
Last 2 deals i brought from B&Q through HUKD i got a phonecall to say OOS. Crap website reminds me of Curry/PC World where they also have no idea on realtime stock levels.
Just ordered one! Thanks!! Heat added. Stock in Bognor Regis, Low in Havant and stock in Portsmouth store.
Got this tool kit for my bros bday yesterday and he thinks its great. Ok use for him as only light jobs around the house. Thanks OP.
Finally tracked one down at the Leatherhead store - great deal for a tenner.
The main tools you need for most common household tasks are in there.
I ve got mine today . İt is not bad and worth just £10. Got feom Tottenham retail B&Q store and there is in stock. Don’t missed the offer . Thanks OP33108363-vWkNI.jpg33108363-RNSkR.jpg
Picked up today. Cheers OP.
Not as good as the £8 it was before Christmas but I missed it so this is still good. Online it said no stock but there were 3 in store. It’s best to go and check if you really want it since it’s not always correct online. Set is surprisingly sturdy feeling.
Many thanks OP for listing this. Needed a tool bag to house stray screwdrivers, plugs and bits n bobs. Bought the one from Wilko before Crimbo for 7 quid and thought that was a great find but compared to this B&Q one the Wilko one is 3/4 of the length and half the width -so worth the extra 3 quid for loads more room. Then there tools inside too!! Agreed they may be no use in a MOT garage scenario but for the home they are perfect and feel sturdy and handle well - bloody bonus. The Wilko one is going back. I got mine from Erdington store Birmingham and there were about 15 left at circa 4pm. (couldn't believe the array for storage bags and boxes they had!) Again thanks OP.

Time travellers don't age or get younger when they travel back/forwards so I'd have thought the same would apply to KitKats - they'd be as fresh as they were when you left the 70's .....
