Just used this stuff to paint two rooms. One room was white over the old lilac, the other was white on white. I have to say that the quality of this paint is substandard, I'd rate it 4/10. I can understand the 3 coats required over the lilac but even over the white it was a case of multiple coats. It's far too watered down, just pay the extra and go for dulux in my opinion. No voting on offer, just for the record.

Used this in the new extension was pretty poor. Defiantly worth spending extra and watering it down to get a better Base coat

Used this recently and thought it was very good paint and good value!

totally agree. awful paint.

Used it to whitewash fresh plaster walls. Ready for painting using valspar paint.

anyone know if the crown 2.5L emulsion offer includes their Period Paint Selection? Thx

ok for mist coat on new walls get a better quality paint for top coat...

dreadful stuff. Used to like Crown paints but not intending to use again. Watered down rubbish these days.

Very watery paint in my experience, good example of you get what you pay for I suppose.

Use Dulux. It's worth the extra. Will save you at least one coat.

Just got this and opened the lid. As previously stated its telly watery but it will do to seal up the walls I just plastered.

I bought this and painted on an existing white wall and this paint had a yellow tint to it, phoned crown to find out if it was right and they said "the white intensifies as it dries" what a load of waffle!!!... Found out it was "old" stock hence the offer..

If I wasn't painting an existing white wall I would of never known straight away. Out of order Crown!!

Went and got some Dulux.......pure brilliant white. Done!!...

I'm using this at the moment, seems fine to me just done the 1st white coat over magnolia and looks ok but definitely needs another coat.
£10 is good for single 10ltr but its been 2 for £20 for months now

Leyland contractor paint is much better and around £15.00 for 10 litres at Screwfix is very good value too.

I have just used this paint as well and can say it gives a great finish!

Wickes trade emulsion - White & Magnolia is £9.99 for 10 Litres

used it on ceilings and walls no problems whatsoever

Dulux paint is much better quality, it's usually on offer most of the time at b&q etc as well. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.......

it might be cheap but you need twice as much and have to do twice as much work so not worth it.
