Briquettes though so generally not great, also if Lidl deals are anything like Aldi, then it's unlikely to actually be at more than a few places.

This is for lumpwood mate, much better than the briquettes, as no nasty chemicals to taint the food. Briquettes are for the numpties that need a fool proof even heat. People who know how to grill will use lumpwood over briquettes every time, but its hard to find a deal on proper charcoal, so this is hot (pun intended)

Ideal for the lotus grill copy Lidl sold on special a few weeks back, cheers.

All the same to me mate but then again I'm no BBQ Champ X) thanks for explaining the differences

Banned

same price on Tesco.

Hot thanks

How can this be hot when it's £2.89 for 10kg at lidl. My local lidl in Longwell green Bristol had loads.

So BYGYF ...

please explain. .. new one on me

Hahha - I think he meat BOGOF. This is the best of the bunch hotukdeals.com/dea…840 imho. The Dial charcoal is generally poor, and the lidl branded stuff turns to ash in seconds. Really rubbish. I prefer lumpwood, but if you are going to use briquettes use the quality ones without alot of chemicals or binding agents (the yellow stuff left over post cooking)

Bought a couple of bags of these when it was 2 for a tenner. It's actually pretty decent quality. Nice size chunks. As an avid BBQ'r I would recommend it.

Bought some of these a while back. First bag I nearly took back as it was broken up like gravel. Second and third bag were great so I obviously got a bad bag.

I've tried the Lidl stuff too. Thought it was a good deal but it creates so much ash and is a very light colour so suspect it's got a lot of filler in there. Didn't burn long either, maybe 70mins

B&Q was ok though.
